I just got the kick-off movie on DVD from Netflix. I didn't read any of this thread because I don't want any spoilers, but tell me, is it lame? Is it pretty much a kids thing? Or will a fan like it?

Are you a Star Wars Fan?? If so you'll enjoy it. I wouldn't consider any of the Star Wars movies and tv show to be lame so I might not be a good judge of things.

I loved the Clone Wars, the series really improved throughout the season. Give it a go.

Rico

The movie was ok, but I think the series was a lot more interesting.  They did a great job with it.  Pretty good stories and some cool action.  Not everyone loved it, but I think there's plenty to enjoy.

Definitely an enjoyable show, at certain times you can tell they are catering to a younger audience. If you keep that in mind some of the cheesier scenes (read: Jar Jar) make sense.

Allen

I give it a 3, my kids give it a 12.
Now I'll read the rest of this thread!

Thanks.

I love the starwars universe, but I just can't get into the Clone Wars as much as I've tried. I would have rather they did it in a different style of animation because I don't like the look of it at all for the show. I think that style should have stayed with Samurai Jack and Dexter's Lab

3 Really.... what didn't you like about it?

Allen

I agree, I liked the animation style of the first clone wars series much better. This new series is too... I don't know, "blocky"? It's almost like watching the Legos version.

But the kids like it, and I guess that's the target audience. My 3 year old is now a Star Wars fan!

Allen

That's a three out of 4.

Sorry, my fingers got ahead of my brain on that one.

Oh.. I figued since your kids gave it a 12 it was 3 out of 10.. okay that's not so bad then.

Allen

Yea, my kids loved it! But we don't have cable, so they haven't been spoiled by the Cartoon Network.

They're watching it for the 6th time as we speak!

Meds

I'm a bit out of touch here. I've got two dvd's of the clone wars which came out a while ago, then we had the film (not seen it) so is there a new series as well. Maybe i should just go back and read this thread again.;)

Could someone please remove the rock off of Meds under which he has been living!

Indeed! A whole 20+ episode series which just finished up last month, in HD on Cartoon Network even. It was brilliant, I really got into it. The movie was released on DVD, which was the first few episodes stuck together and then there is a current release of a trilogy of shows from early in the Season 1.

Meds

Cheeky bryan ha ha. don't have cartoon network, will have to check it out if i get the chance, or buy them. Now where's my rock ;)

It's over there. That's it, the third one from the sun...

Look for them on here Meds. Rico had them up in the partner to this thread in the members area. I assume they're still there.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
