Finally got to watching it last night. Not the best show, there were definitely a few too many coincidences and one too many lucky breaks to make it believable. I'm not a Jar Jar hater but they made him a little bit too buffoonish.

Not a bad episode, but definitely not the best.

I laughed at loud when Padme asked 3-PO how the ship was destroyed and she says,"Battle Droids?" "No" "Jar Jar?" and 3-PO syas, "Jar Jar". As silly as Jar Jar was, the other elements of the episode were pretty good.

Oh I agree there were good moments, but unfortunately overall the story was pretty weak IMO.

This was probably my kids' favorite episode.  They've loved every episode, but Jar Jar and the humor really worked for them.

Obviously, online reaction has been poor to this episode.  I don't believe GL is so deaf to his audience that he anticipated anything else.  This episode wasn't for us grups.  From my observation, the target audience loved this episode, as they have the whole series.

Complaining about a Jar Jar episode because it's goofy is like complaining about a musical because it has songs.  No one says you have to like musicals, but you know going in what you're going to get.

I totally agree.

I kind of liked this episode - more than I thought I would.  It was a nice change of pace from all the seriousness of the war, the clones, etc.  Plus we got to see Padme' kick a little droid butt too.  I didn't mind it at all.

I didn't expect to like it either, I'm not a Jar Jar fan but I don't hate him either. I guess you can say I'm indifferent to the character.  But the episode was good and Jar Jar wasn't that bad. And I thought they were making fun of Jar Jar through 3PO, which I found entertaining. I love C3P0 and I know a lot of fans (particularly men) hate him— it was interesting to see the two most criticized characters in the same episode together.

Aside from George's fascination with comics and cartoons, the whole reason this series is animated is to attract a younger audience. I introduced my four-year-old niece, Karlee, to Star Wars A New Hope a few months ago and the only thing she was really mesmerized by were the lightsabers, which she called "shiny, glowy swords" and R2. She was bored until I popped in The Phantom Menace. She loved Jar Jar which made me shiver. But the plus is  now she's watching the Clone Wars Cartoon. Her interest in Star Wars would have died with ANH if I hadn't introduced her to Jar Jar Binks and bought her two plastic lightsabers to beat me with while she watched Episode I.

Yes, I liked seeing Luminara in this episode. Someone tell me, where else does this character appear in the EU? I know her from the Lego Star Wars games, LOL.

Besides AOTC and ROTS, she appears in the Star Wars Republic comics.

I really loved last week's "Clone Wars" too.  Great saber fights, cool story, and just a great episode.

Well, I finally found a somewhat reliable and hacker-free way to access Hulu, the cartoon network site, starwars.com, etc. I missed last week's episode, when do they go up on Starwars.com? Bombad Jedi is still the last full episode.

Bryancd

I loved it when Ventress jumbs into the elevator shaft and jams her sabers into the wall to slow her decent. Also, anyone notice the musical cue's when she's skulking about the ship? Sounded the same as those used for Catwoman in the second Batman movie. Luminara was awesome as well.

Rico

Not sure, but could just torrent it.  ;)  They don't air in Canada anywhere??
