My Blog Post that will go up after we put it in the Anomaly feed:

Special Edition:

Star Trek: Boldly Part I

"Boldly" Part I introduces the main characters of the U.S.S. Arrabella and hints at the crew's growing dilemma. More details will be revealed as each installment is released.

This production is an adaptation of the Treks In Sci-Fi writing project known as the RPG. The project is written more like a novel than a Role Playing Game, but writers who participate are responsible for creating one or more characters and developing the story from their characters' viewpoint. There are now eight seasons in the RPG, and the ninth season will begin in a few weeks. Each season lasts about three months and contains a story arc. Visit the Treks In-Sci-Fi forum to read the past arcs in the thread entitled: The Story So Far. Or listen to the weekly Ready Room Microcast, hosted by Rick, Jen and Kenny, to hear dramatic readings of the upcoming season.

Because the story was first written in novel form, it is narrated to showcase the writing project. Voice actors, sound effects and a sound track were added to bring the story to life. Most of the music was specifically written for this audio drama. The intro and outro was written and preformed by Nathan Moyer. The following songs (listed in the order they appear) were created by his father, Rick Moyer: Neutral Zone (Sevryll and Quinn intro scene), Choir ST Theme Intro or Outro (Doctors Peterson and Drett intro scene), Whalified ST The Me Intro (Lt K'Tan intro scene), Outer Under Space (Lt. Tain and Sergeant Tarrent intro Scene), Plunk Plunk (Rory and Lt. Aeric James Intro), There's Just The Three Of Us (Five Forward/ Lt. Stass intro). The following songs (listed in the order they appear) were written and preformed by Kevin MacLeod: Vulcan Theme (Zremm flashback to Vulcan), Frost Waltz (cat and dog scene), Shamanistic (K'ararth holodeck scene).

Writers who collaborated on "Boldly", are members of the Treks In Sci-Fi forum so the following list may contain strange user names—consider them their "pen names".

(golf clap) very good everybody. Loved every minute.

The hardest part about listening to a Star Trek drama on a recording is you can't see who's wearing a RED Shirt. Someone is going to die but for the first time I don't know WHO! The anticipation is killing me. Thank God I'm wearing green t-shirt right now:)

Note to self: find out why your obsessed with death... and then kill it.

Dangelus

Oh why did I have to go to bed last night before this thread came up?   :D

Updating itunes now... hopefully I will have enough time to get this on my ipod before setting off for work!

Can't wait to hear it.

The music was first rate and flowed so well with the narration. The acting is top notch and well done everyone. I enjoyed trying to figure out who was playing who. Well done everyone and boy i can't wait till episode 2 comes out.

Grrrr. Got to wait until tonight to download it!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

One thing I didn't realize until I heard all the credits was the amazing job Jen did at pulling in some incredible talent and variety in the voice actors.  I had no idea you snagged such a diverse and interesting wave of talent.  I just have to say it - but listening to it all is like a GEEKGASM!  Hearing all my favorite geeks do a Trek audio drama is basically a dream come true.  Takes me back to my days growing up writing scripts and getting together with friends to record our adventures - on cassette tape!

BIG, BIG KUDOS again to you Jen, and everyone involved!

wraith1701

AMAZING!!!  ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!  This is beautiful; you guys did a great job bringing this to life!   ;D

By the way Jen, tell your brother that he nailed K'Tan.  He sounds just like I imagine him!  ;D

Bryancd

WOW, just WOW. Jen, you have really done an outstanding job on this production and should be VERY proud of your accomplishment. I am honored to be even remotley associated with it. Well done, girlfriend!

Dangelus

Jen, just... wow.

Got to listen to it on my way to work and during my lunch.

I was expecting quality but this is amazing! Fantastic editing, fantastic narration and fantastic voice acting!

I have been listening to the various Trek audio dramas that are out there and I can honestly say that 'Boldly' is BETTER than them all! And this is the first attempt! I am absolutely bowled over!

I especially loved the narration. This is missing from the other trek audio dramas out there but it adds so much to the story.

Thanks so much for all those involved in producing this, you are all brilliant!  ;D

Jen

Thank you guys, but the writers of the RPG and the talents who helped me (voice and music) are more deserving. :)

I'm not happy with my narration in this part. I started it before we began doing the readings for the Ready Room about a year ago. It's amazing how much practicing will help you read these posts with emotion. The next part should be better.

Not sure it rivals Darker Projects, but I appreciate the complement Dangelus. :)

Boy I forgot to mention the music! Loved it. It fitted perfectly. Rick and the guys have outdone themselves.

Darker Projects better watch out!

Jen, your narration is outstanding. Take the praise my friend, because you deserve every bit of it. I'm proud to be part of it and proud to be your friend.

This is way way beyond awesome!!!  This is top professional quality stuff here.

I played Aeric James... and would love to help with more of these.  Can't wait for the next installment.

Kudos Kudos with a capital K.  Awesome Awesome with a capital A.

10 out of 10.  And anyone who knows me at all knows I am hypercritical... especially when people mess with Star Trek.  Jen & everyone involved:  You did it right!!  Enjoy the heaps of praise.  You all deserve every word of it and more.

Feathers

Oh I'm looking forward to this now! iTunes has it, going to sync the phone before going to bed then I'm set for the morning.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
