That could be fun.

I'm on new ground here. Up to now I've kept Galdar on his own on the station so I've been able to do what I want with him. For the first time now, he's under someone elses control and I don't know how to react. To a degree, I'm not sure I like it. :)

How about I make him captain and then he can order James to stand down. Good plan? ;)

More seriously, is James trying to be difficult or does he normally arrest people who've just asked to be rescued from decompressing shuttle bays without permission?
It wasn't the rescuing, it was the Section 31 person giving orders to the crew and them following those orders. For all he knows, it is a ruse designed to allow Section 31 access to the ship that he is sworn to protect. It's like a wanted man making an arrest then telling the beat cops what to do.

OK, that makes sense. I've just watched the back end of DS9 with all the Sloan episodes so the reaction works in that context.

I've just realised - Galdar hasn't got a clue who Theran is other than Joseph's brother. He must be really confused!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Yeah section 31 is an illegal organization and counter to the laws and ideas that the members of Star Fleet are supposed to uphold. As my daughter would put it: "They're the bad guys and we don't like the bad guys."

That's good Mike, you have to put yourself into Galdars mind. Chris is right. James is going to be annoyed because he desperately wants his ship running smoothly (as you would) and look whats happened, a total stranger who works for section 31 comes along and is totally ignorant to proper authority and is a potential danger to the ship. Joint posts are designed to make complicated stories easier. I've happily left Joseph D'callan in Jens, Chris's and Erics hands when it comes to joint posts because they will allways check with you before posting (you always end up changing a bit of dialogue but that's natural) so you have to put a bit of trust in allowing Galdar to be played with.

Feathers

I'm sure I'll get used to it :)

As I say, I deliberately put Galdar on the station initially to gat used to writing like this and to give me a chance to get to know the character a bit before getting sucked into the story.

Hopefully, it's helped...we'll see.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Feathers

'ere! Who's writing Galdar without my knowledge?

Whoever put that little line in, well done! It plays well off my post before and is exactly as I would have done it.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Was that the last line "Permisiion to come aboard?" if so, that was me. Hee hee, but Chris kept it in.

Feathers

OK. You wait and see what I'll have D'Callan saying when I get my grips on him!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I didn't think anything that bad had happened! Even D'Callan was only there because sucking vacuum was a less than pleasant proposition.

I think he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
