yes, the impulse power and non warp core power is from zero point energy conversion. It's actually pretty cool science behind it and two point energy generation. I wouldn't be surprized if we actually master it one day. I personally see it as kind of tapping into and converting dark energy to usable power and from what science dictates, dark energy makes up 90% of the universe.

Something-something dark energy. Something soemthing warp power. ;)

Chalk that up bo being really bored at work.

Hi Katrina! Welcome to the OOC!
Thank you, Jen.
Been in orbit for quite a while, was about time I beamed down here. Um... electromagnetic radiation... inhibited my attempts to get a stable transporter lock.

I was slightly suspicious Rico might be biased in his descriptions of this site - but now that I'm here... I was so wrong!
Don't even know where to start, I'll come back with some feedback later.
If you please would excuse me now, I have some reading to do. :)

No need for subterfuges. At least not in my case. That Orci quote belonged to a "Science in ST:Insurrection" article I read with some interest. Please talk geek to me! ;)

Hey Chris, quick question regarding your last post. How did your wife get on board and did no one notice?

She transported aboard and yeah, no one has noticed yet. Her species a sneaky one. Someone might have noticed something, but it wouldn't match up to any known transporter signals.

If you watch the "Unforgettable" episode of Voyager, it would give you insights to what might or might not be a offshoot of her species.

Don't you think Quinn is going to be alarmed when you casually mention you have family on board!   :jawdrop

"Hiya Cap! Here's the missus! She just arrived on a ship you can't see using tranporter technology you can't detect. It's all good, bro!"  :lol2

LOL! Which is why he said family. He's not going to hide this his wife is there, but he also can't let anyone know that she's there. By saying he's visiting family, it doesn't put his wife on the spot or get him into more trouble. If Aeric has to explain, he'll try to do that without revealing too much.

It's a great story line, my compliments!

Thank you! I've been slowly working on introducing her, but couldn't find the right season. After last season and all those complications, I thought that a few new complications in his life would be fun.

Well done everyone. I'm really enjoying all the side stories. Every time a post comes to my email in box, I drop everything and read it. Yeah, I know...I should be working but I have to know what's happening!

If you click "Notify"  which is located on the top and bottom of every thread, you can get the posts emailed to you. It's an easy way to keep up. :)

Not only Notify.. but you have to go into your settings and mark that you want the entire post emailed to you..not just a post notifying you that some posted in that thread.

FYI,

To all my fellow RPG'ers I want to apologize for the lack of participation so far for season nine. Real life has gotten it the way and unfortunately the RPG and RR are going to take the hit. Currently Quinn and Took are starting their shore leave. If you need to speak with Quinn or Took please PM me and we will figure something out. I may post here or there but for the rest of the month of March you won't see much of Quinn or Took. Again I'm very sorry about this but some things are out of my control.

Thanks,
Kenny

All I can say is...congratulations for having a real life to get in the way. I hope it's just busy things and not bad things.

I'm sure we'll cope. It is a shore leave season!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

That's one heck of a deadline change! Still it sounds like a fun task to the uninitiated. Mind you, anything Guild sounds like fun.
