Yeah seems like there's a bit of a delay, the "play" button is still greyed out.

So, I just played for maybe about an hour as a Twil'ek Jedi.  Pretty easy controls if you are used to MMO's.  Graphics look good and plays well on my PC.  The quests are more involved with some decisions to be made.  So far as first impressions go, I like it.

My computer could handle it to a degree. I could play, but hardly, too much freezing up. It was a bit intolerable or I probably would have tried to play it a little longer. Though I remembered why I don't really like MMOs too. I think this is a great MMO, but I just don't like MMOs. I want begin story and end story. I hope you guys really enjoy it. I may try to play some more later, but I'm done for the night, and I know I won't be playing the game when it does come out.

I'm really enojying myself so far. I went Republic for the beta since we're going Sith at launch.

Rico

What class did you make Joe?  I may make a few characters to mess around and see the various starter areas.

I also made a Jedi just to see what the staring stuff is like. BTW apparently we can't post screen shots according to the NDA (which at this point is a bit silly since thousands of people were invited to this beta).

Rico

Oh, yes I know about screenshots and the NDA.  But I mean really people - there is a TON of info out there on this game already - full video in game, pics, story/plot, etc.

Hey - how do you like all the interactive questing?  Do you think that will annoy WOW players who just want to "get to it?"

billybob476

Well you ccan skip everything if you want to, this is a Bioware game, story story story! I really am loving all the audio it really pulls me in. Quite impressed so far.

Oh - you can skip all those decision trees too?  Or do you just mean the spoken quest video cutscenes?

billybob476

If it's like Mass Effect, you can skip right to the decision points by hitting the spacebar. If you want the "light side" answer it's generally 1, 2 is 'neutral' and 3 is the jerk answer.
