AH, I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy the RR podcast...and sorry to you super busy podcasters, but it's the discussion I enjoy as much as anything :)

The readings are always good to listen to, both as a writer (catching up on the detail) and as a listener, but the discussion adds an awful lot more to the whole experience than just an additional set of words.

Good of you to finally remember Tolok BTW ;)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Loved the chat and the great readings as usual! Happy the Ready Room is back.

A little suggestion/idea. For some weeks where one or two of you isn't available, maybe have one host and a guest? I know you guys used to do interviews with writers. I loooove the Jen/Rick/Kenny dynamic but an occasional Jen or Rick / guest 20 minute spot would be pretty fun too.

Great work. I was having withdrawals for a moment, but it's all better now.

Another option would be to get anyone who was willing to do a talk about their character to also do an opening/closing/story so far bit for the week in question. That may result in losing a little too much control over proceedings though so I'm not sure how practical an iea it is.

Yeah, other than podcasting our personal lives limits the time we have to chat. We may do commentaries once a month to give ourselves breathing time. It is easy to get burned out with all the activities being juggled and I don't want that to happen. There may be a time when we do have guests on—we've done that in the past. We're not stuck on any specific dynamic but we do enjoy talking to each other so often we wait until we can do one together.

Again, we ask that people record their own commentary and send them in. We like hearing what you have to say about the story and characters too.  We will mix them into the show.

I'm certainly hoping to get the time to a little segment on 'the new Galdar'.

Actually, despite what I said earlier, commentary on the story would be hard for an independent given that they wouldn't know which posts are to be played in any given week.

Yeah that is true as it depends on how many posts I can squeeze into a 90 minute RR episode.

It doesn't have to be specific and if it is it could be saved until the correlating posts are actually included in the show. The other option is to do what Rico is doing and allow someone else to take over as hosts on the days we're not recording commentary.

OK, it's not exactly commentary but I've sent in a segment on the changes to Galdar between seasons nine and ten. As with everything I record, I'm not super happy with it - too much of a flat monotone in the voice - but I hope someone gets some fun out of it.

Bah, you brits could read the phone book and we'd find it entertaining. Yay for accents!

I just listened to it and all of you only seem to get better.
I liked the intro music and I'm glad the dicussion is back, that is something I missed. I was slightly irritated to hear Rico on the RR, it's been a long time, hasn't it? :)
Chrystal is new, I really like her voice, I think she would make a great addition to ST Boldly.

Oh, and I was pleased to find the Arabella now has a female captain, I've got a very good feeling about this! :)
