Some more filming news. And spoilers in the text
After several weeks of studio filming (aside from a couple of days spent on more "Cubed" reshoots), the Doctor Who production team have been back out in the open shooting Series 7 today.

According to the clapperboard they are shooting episode 9 written by Mark Gatiss (rumoured title, The Crimson Horror). The episode appears to be set (or at least part-set) in a strange 19th century village.

Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman and Diana Rigg were all on set.
Diana Rigg will be playing a character called Mrs Gillyflower (referred to as "the ice lady").

A line of overheard dialogue: "There is something very odd about that factory – nobody who goes in seems to come back out. And there's never any smoke."

Clara is kidnapped by Mrs Gillyflower, who takes people to her factory and does some sort of "process" to them.

Brendan Patricks is also guest starring. He is playing Edmund and Jeremiah (presumably twins). Below he is in scene with Matt and Jenna.

Catrin Stewart was also spotted reprising her role as Jenny (From A Good Man Goes To War). No sign of her partner Madame Vastra but it would seem unusual if she didn't turn up at some point now, as was rumoured.

Jenny tells the Doctor that she saw Clara die, but the Doctor says it isn't as simple as that, and that the process can reversed.

Multiple 50th Specials, No Full Series Until 2014
PUBLISHED JULY 25, 2012

We know that 2013 will see the remaining 8 episodes of Doctor Who Series 7 airing early in the year. Beyond that there's obviously the 50th Anniversary celebrations, but what about Series 8?

In the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, Matt Smith appears to confirm that there will be multiple Anniversary specials, with a full series of the show not airing until 2014.

Smith says Moffat's first Anniversary episode, although not written yet, sounds great and the idea is "as brilliant and as mental as you'd expect from Steven".

Smith adds that Moffat pitched the next series (2014) to him and said, "Are you ready to cry?"

When pressed for more details, Smith says: "I know absolutely nothing that I can tell you."

So it looks like 2013 will consist of the other "half" of Series 7 and an undisclosed amount of 50th anniversary episodes. This also seems to suggest that the 11th Doctor will be around for a while yet.

Some hints regarding series 7 Thanks to Dr Who TV website for these reports.
Steven Moffat gives an update on the production status of all the Series 7 episodes in the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine. A few interesting little hints are shared.

1. Asylum of the Daleks – Shot, picture-locked. Music and SFX being added. Moffat teases: "I've just seen the new... never mind."

2. Dinosaurs in Space – Shot, picture-locked. Moffat says you will gasp at the special effects.

3. A Town Called Mercy – Shot, picture-locked. About to be time dubbed.

4. Shot (bar a few pick-up scenes), still to be edited. Moffat describes it as "Unusual" and it contains, "One of the best and most touching scenes ever we've shot."

5. Shot, picture-locked. Murray Gold may "kill you".

Christmas Special – Moffat's handed in the 5th draft of the script and semi-jokes they'll be 20 more. Saul Metzstein will be directing this one as well.

6. To be written by Moffat. He's finished 22 pages of it, so far.

7. 10 pages complete, from another writer.

8. Shot and being cut. Presumably, Mark Gatiss' first script of the series. Moffat says the sets are amazing and teases: "Prepare to shiver in terror and gasp along the lines of 'Oh my goodness, is that a...?'"

9. Shot and nearly picture locked. From a new writer. Presumably it's Neil Cross' episode and it has been shuffled.

10. Mark Gatiss' second episode of the series. Moffat says it's "Insane." Directed by Saul Metzstein.

11. No details other than, "Fourth draft."

12. Two-thirds complete on a writer's computer in a "distant land".

13. Finale – Moffat appears to be writing the big one (surprise), but hasn't got very far yet.
Not sure about American dates but it looks like it could be 25th August for us.

Dangelus

If we have to wait much longer they might as well change the title to Doctor Who? - I'll have forgotten most of the plot... ;)
