Well it certainly looks even more like an American show this year. How much did I pay for this again?!! ;)

News of an iconic star being cast in Doctor Who to be revealed at 12:00am (UK time) tomorrow!  That's the evening in the US, because of work I'll have to wait until Monday morning!  :(

Dinosaurs and Spaceships!! Awesome! I saw a movie at the store starring Matt Smith which takes place during the 1948 London Olympics. I don't recall the name of it.

The 'iconic' actor must be for the Christmas special, that starts filming soon.

I am wondering if it's about Tom Baker!!  I'm probably wrong, but one can only hope.  :)

That's the news!?  ???  Not that iconic in my opinion...it's like saying that after Sunday it will be Monday!!!!! ???  I am so glad I didn't stay up for the news...

Well from a Dr Who point he is iconic. He was the first 9th Dr and also in a previous Moffat sketch called Curse of the Fatal death. Plus he was Withnail, one of the best British films ever made. Though i'm biased, I've met him and spent a rather nice evening with him during a book launch. LOL

I am probably one of the three people in the UK who has never seen Withnail and I!  I always think of him in an episode of Ab Fab from the mid 90s Suzi Quatro as 'Dream Nurse' in Absolutely Fabulous!

To be honest I wished that there hadn't been this 'cloak and dagger ' approach from the BBC in releasing details of him being cast.   I just hope for a much better Xmas day episode than last year's (in my opinion ;)).   I hope that Moffat makes good use of his talents!    :)

Yeah I know what you mean. With the 50th anniversary coming up we don't need that kind of press release teasing. Withnail and I is brilliant its one of my all time favourite films. Seriously check it out I think you will like it but dont do the drinking game lol

Is this series gonna air like last year with the US getting them at the same time? Have they said anything about this?
