Loved the first episode.. my only question is...
Wasn't the girl who turned out to be a Dalek.. isn't she the actress who is playing the new companion next year?
yes
Actress and character with the same surname that will be the next companion. Only not next year, in less than 5 episodes now.

I REALLY hope that she escapes somehow and that the new companion turns out to be a Dalek! That would be new. :)

I was a little disappointed when they announced the next one was another pretty girl but this would make a cool twist. Perhaps her woman visage is how she sees herself? Now this would be impressive Moffat!

Chances are he will probably find an alternate version of her, twin sister or go ack in time and fetch her from somewhere instead. :(
I agree, a different vibe, better pacing to IMHO.

One thing that bothered me....
Even though I have tried hard to avoid spoilers I thought that was the actress/character for the next companion.  So it kind of lessened the impact for me at the end of this episode.  But I also really liked her spunk and attitude and hope she is like that as the new companion.  Finally, I'm thinking the Daleks are even more a threat now to the Doctor - in a way.  Before they were made to forget about him they had both a fear and respect for the Doctor.  Now, all that history is gone.  It will be interesting to see how this impacts future Doctor/Dalek encounters.
This is awesome.. I love this webseries and with the addition of Doctor Who you can't go wrong.

I am so proud that no one who attended the previews spoiled the fact that the new companion (to be) was to be in the first episode. I love the fact that she's a Dalek (or of course is she? is she connected by some large Dalek brain somewhere, she could be locked in the cell and programmed through a Dalek, we never saw inside the casing etc)

Meds, I don't think she's the new companion.
The new companion is Clara Oswald. The girl in the episode is Oswin Oswald. I'm betting that Clara is Oswin's mother or something
Oh yeah I know but what's in a name with Doctor Who ;)

Here's a question, where's the eternal Dalek (yellow Moffat era) ?

Meds

Pps love the line where do you get the milk :) oh and having now watched it 3 times have to say love Oswins dress ;)

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship!

Totally loved this episode, some great one liners, very cool story and some things to think about.
A couple of Harry Potter stars in this one, the chap who played the caretaker and my home towns very own Mark Williams. Mitchell and Webb put in a humourous performance as the robots :)

Feathers

Managed to record all but the first few minutes (hallelujah for iplayer!). I'll let you know...
I thought the work that went into the Daleks on the last one was insane (in a good way). Watching some of the behind the scenes snippets on the BBC site you get a little more of an inkling of just how well they represented the different styles of Dalek from previous years, all for a few seconds of screen time.
I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

It was alright, but I feel a little disappointed after last week's episode.

Feathers

No, that was superb on so many levels!

For the first time I'm really feeling that the new Who is starting to rival the old. I know Meds has been sold on Matt Smith since day 1 but I haven't really felt it until now. Something has changed this ear and I like it.

No spoilers for now.

I liked the dino's on the spaceship episode.  Kind of a fun romp for the most part and I liked the Doctor with more people helping him on this one.  But one thing I keep thinking about...
I know it's been addressed at times but the Doctor can go anywhere in time and space - right?  So in this latest episode, why doesn't he just go back before that bad guy dumped off all the Sonarians in space?  I mean each week he could take care of most of the issues he runs into if he just went back a little bit more in time.  I've heard him say that time travel doesn't quite work like that for him.  That only certain points can be changed or something like that.  Anyway, love to hear what the Who experts have to say on this.
Yeah, Rico I think that's also sort of why it's come out that the TARDIS takes him where he needs to be, not necessarily where he WANTS to be.

This was a cool episode, very Douglas Adams-y. Near the end
where he leaves the smuggler to get destroyed by the missiles, it's a bit 10th Doctor-ish. Also, I loved the fact that Rory's dad got to go flit around with the Doctor. Guess he doesn't always need hot dames with nice gams!
