Just watched the "Power of Three" episode and really enjoyed it.  Very cool seeing the Doctor with the Ponds seeing their lives for a change.  The menace this week was interesting too.  This episode shows just how tight the three of them have become.  Great stuff!

A screencap of my favorite scene in this episode.

Yeah, pretty poignant since we sorta know what's coming....though we don't know exactly what.

Great episode, I always enjoy departures like this in any show.

COULD PETER JACKSON DIRECT A EPISODE OF DOCTOR WHO

Taken from Dr Who TV.

Last week news broke that The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit director Peter Jackson was interested in working on an episode of Doctor Who.

Now, there has been a follow up to the story and it looks like the idea is one step closer to becoming a reality.

Waikato Times reports that Series 7 writer Neil Cross has spoken about scripting a potential story that could "only be shot in New Zealand," presumably with Jackson in the Director's chair.

Cross prompted Doctor Who producer Caroline Skinner to respond to Jackson's previous comment, and her reply: "It is beyond wonderful that Peter is a fan of the show and it's beyond flattering that he'd even think about it. I'm absolutely sure that we couldn't afford him but, you know, we can always negotiate. His enthusiasm is just fantastic of course."

She added: "I'm with Matt [Smith]. Of course at some point we'd love to bring Doctor Who Down Under... it won't be possible until at least a year after the 50th anniversary. We are already two-thirds of the way through the shoots of Series 7 and although we filmed a couple of episodes abroad (Spain and the USA). I can confirm for the rest of Series 7 we will be shooting entirely in Cardiff Bay."

"The brilliant thing about Doctor Who is that it's a show that can take you absolutely anywhere in space and time and at some point I would really love for Doctor Who to take us to New Zealand."

The report also states that Steven Moffat is "enthusiastic" about the whole idea and is due to have a meeting with Cross soon. Skinner said: "Let's see what those two very brilliant writers come up with whilst they are in LA."

"It won't be for a while but rest assured that we are thinking about it. The landscapes and just the world of New Zealand is of course phenomenal and many movies are set in your beautiful country. It is also an extremely long way from Cardiff Bay so the logistics and the sheer scale of moving Doctor Who to New Zealand is something that would take an awful lot of planning and time. It's an enormous thing to move an entire production down there for an episode or two."

I think that I know how this is going to end.

Wow, that would be amazing. Would love to see it happen.

I've been hearing fan theories lately that
Rory is the MASTER??? Apparently some eagle eyed fans spotted the watch on the dresser by the cube, and also a description of the episode stated that "an old foe makes an appearance without making one". Hm. That would be a crazy twist!
Surely not. That would be a bit much really.

Loved this weeks again, the series is really firing on all cylinders this year. I like the lack of an overt arc but the hint of menace behind the Doctor is a little stronger this time around and feels closer to the show of years gone by. Tennant did his 'arrogant bit' towards the end but this is subtler and more understated.

After a slow start, Matt Smith has reached my favourite Doctor of the new era at last.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Its a neat idea LOL. Thinking about next weeks episode what about
the episode where we say Amy and Rory in a field waving at themselves. That was never explained and as the angels take you back in time that could be what happens.
Here is my theory about what will happen based on the slow down of the previews. Granted, it's far from complete, but it will give an idea.
Rory gets zapped back in time by an angel and they find his grave. Because he made some contributions to the past, the doctor can't go back in time to just pick him up.  Like he couldn't do with the other Angel victims. So, Amy stays so she can be with him. This is how they are taken out of play from further travels. I'd also hazard to guess that they do try to bring Rory home, but that's how the Tardis gets damaged in one of the quick scenes. Rory can't time travel anymore because of the angels taking that power.

Amy and Rory will live happily ever after with the help of their daughter and the doctor. I also think that this is the time that we reveal that River didn't die in the Library. Sure, it seems like that, but the body was gone when he went to place the copy in the computer. Also, we know that River regenerates. We know that she healed the Doctor, but then the they say that the Doctor told her that she used all of her remaining regenerations to save him. Well, what's rule #1? The doctor always lies.

Didn't they ...
Change the time on that. First it was both, then it was just Amy after Rory ceased to exist. Then they erased it all when the universe was recreated by the Doctor and Amy brought him back.
yeah but anything can happen in science fiction ;)

I like both approaches actually. Not sure I feel strongly enough to put any money down but they do have some merit and a higher than average probability.

Loved it, amazing ending. Did anyone notice the Rolls Royce plaque on the Tardis. Nice. Beautiful episode.

Just watched it.  I can't say anything at this point without putting it all in a BIG spoiler box.
