Second parter was awesome except
the last scene. I'm hoping Amys show of affection towards the Dr was just because of her traumatic experience because Moffat should know better than to go down the boring predictable RTD route.

I liked the last bit though. It shows human nature. I believe confidential did say it was because of the trauma she experienced.
My cousin thinks its parallel universes
there is a pic with Matt and Billie piper so we are both thinking that the rip in time caused another doctor, sort of Rose's one. Oh we also think River is Amy's mom and the doctor is Amy's father
I'm not sure about the parallel universe thing, its something to do with the silence coming. I'm guesting on the Doctor Who Podcast ( http://thedoctorwhopodcast.com ) in the mid week show talking about Vampires in Venice so maybe we'll get some more answers in that episode. Hmmm probably not lol,

I was thinking about the Daleks episode...
If the scientist lost his hand and Davros lost his hand... I wonder if there is anything to that, or im thinking to hard...hmm
Awesome, I love that show!

Regarding the last scene, I can just imagine thousands of blokes shouting and the TV at the Doctor saying "You idiot!" haha ;)

I could hear all the fan fics being made after that scene...it was deafening :(

I have to confess I still haven't watched this. A certain World Snooker tournament seems to have taken over our TV for the past two weeks.

Fortunately it's all over now so I can get back to some 'proper' TV watching ;)

I did have a second canter through the first part and picked up on a few bits I missed. They seem to be hacking through these stories quite fast, as if they were written for an hour but are being crammed into forty minutes. A second pass is almost required to pick up all of the detail which I think is a bit of a shame.

Or maybe it's just me.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I personally liked the ending scene between Amy and the Doctor. (and not for the obvious reasons!!) I think it shows her hidden inner vulnerability and a (sometimes inappropriate) search for acceptance by others. I think this will eventually be overcome by her adventures with the Doctor and will be one of the defining characteristics which will seperate her from other companions.

Of course, this is purely speculation on my part and I offer absolutely zero by way of evidence to support this belief!! :)

This is why I liked Donna so much.. not remotely interested in the Doctor..

Kenny never mention that name in the eleventh doctor thread lol ;)

Very true though,  after watching it again i have to agree with Antony above. She is a strong character but i like  that vulnerability. I've been enjoying the suggestions about who
River Song is and one of the suggestions was it is Jenny the Dr's daughter well DNA made daughter not Susan's mother. I dont buy that because he acts like she is someone like his mother at times.
Is it true that young Amy Pond in the first episode had a rag doll of River Song?
