I am thinking that River and the Doctor get together and make a time baby, and to protect it they put it back in time with a distant relative of River or some stranger....the time baby is Amy Pond, which is why her parents were never around

I think River kills the doc in her past.

It's being hinted at but it will be a future Dr and a older one.

I thought a later incarnation of the Doctor becomes evil and has to be killed by an earlier incarnation.....or am I making that up. Can't think where I heard that!!

Sounds like a virgin novel plot mate. I think Moffat is leaning in to breaking the only 12 regenerations rule ( skipping the tom baker episode where you saw 9 doctors before Tom.

This is a side point but one I'll be making on The Doctor Who Podcast they really have to sort his age out lol

Darkmolerman

Yeah my cousin figured either River knows his name because she was on his death bed (whether or not she CAUSED the death is now up for question) or River had a kid and the Doctor decided to tell her his name. Also what if she is a time lord

She did say that she was also 'temporally complex', or whatever phrase was used, as well as him.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I would call this one a filler episode....but not in a negative way in the least!

It doesn't bring anything new to the ongoing series thread.....but it is a very fun and enjoyable episode.

Really nice, fun episode. Almost a bridge episode I think. Some nice homages to classic Who :)

Any
cracks
that anyone noticed?

The only complaint I have is that
once again we're into 'bring the boyfriend along' mode. We did all of this with Rose after a while and I don't see any need to go down the same road again. Just give us a 'proper' male companion, someone who's there in his own right.
Couldnt agree with you more Mike. We havnt had a make companion since Turlogh and he tried to kill the Doctor.

We don't need to go that far! It would be OK without the killing :)

Spoil sport ;) seriously though I am loving Amy as a companion And next weeks episode looks, well it looks bonkers. And that's a good thing.

I did not see any cracks but....
They did zoom in to the TARDIS key hole so...
I kist realised that we seem to be relying pretty heavily on perception filters as plot devices in the last few. Let's see if we get any more.
