That's an awesome idea!

I did like the slip up in naming too such that even though some time has probably passed
The Doctor is still having a hard time dealing with the loss of Rory. You get the impression that's why he's being nice to Amy.

Revering to Vincent as Rory at one stage was good, having Vincent 'see Amy's sorrow' was strange but ne'er really got explored.-
Despite being fairly standalone, I still think some of these things link into the overall arc that they seem compelled to have this season.

BTW did anyone see a crack anywhere?

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

ori-STUDFARM

I've seen some forum talk of a possible crack sighting in the first painting that VG was doing....but the person wasn't 100% and is rewatching to verify.

I personally don't think there was one.

Meds

I think we was crack and silence free this episode.

I forgot to say. In the episode before last, it was nice to see the appearance of Steven Moore as the 'senior reptile'. (From my point of view, it's nice to see old Hitchhiker's Guide stars continuing in their SF careers.)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Very touching recent episode and slightly different type of show too.  Enjoyed it quite a bit.
I was a bit surprised the Doctor took Vincent into the future.  Seemed a bit odd for him to do that.  It's almost like he knew it wouldn't change things much.  But I can see why he tried.
Yes.
He seems a lot more easygoing in terms of who he allows in the TARDIS than previous incarnations. Nasrene last week (albeit without time travel) and Vincent this week.
In reality I guess it's a Moffatt thing but the change in body/personality of the Doctor probably works as a good excuse as well.

Also the Doctor knew Vincent would die anyway. You could tell when the entered the museum he walked slower. It was for Amys sake as well as Vincents. Great episode.

Rico

I thought the slower walking was to allow Vincent some time to take it all in, but I can see your idea too.  Since the Doctor can sort of see how things will turn out (at least at certain times) I guess he didn't think it would be a problem to show him the museum.

Has anyone seen the most recent episode? After last week's heart-wrenching "Vincent", I think the fun of this one is what the doctor ordered... crud, that turned out to be a pun, didn't it. Pretend I didn't say that. ;)

Two more episodes to go in this series/season. Very, very exciting.
Although, I'm not sure how I feel about the Cybermen, Daleks, Slitheen, and co. returning in one episode. I feel like it's this huge plan to get them all to fall into the crack as a final revision to the franchise, which would just be way too obvious in my opinion. But, considering it's Moffat as the main writer of the last two, I have high hopes. And it's Doctor Who, so I'm going to love it anyway.  :wub
I enjoyed the latest episode.   I agree that the shift in tone was needed.
I liked the bit at the end, too, which brought us back to the heavier tone.

The upcoming 2-part finale looks epic.
Being new to The Doctor, I recognized a lot of the bad guys, but I knew I was supposed to recognize even more.
I never know where to put spoiler tags when discussing Doctor Who, since ep. 11 already aired but won't be on in the states for 3 more weeks.

Just watched the latest episode that aired in the UK last night and LOVED IT!!!
Noticed the nod to the previous episode with the note/magnet on the fridge about the Van Gogh exhibit. Love the interaction of The Doctor and his flat mate (that was my favorite part of this episode). Like others have said after all the heavy episodes it was fun to see the lighter side of this series. I also liked the end with Amy.
Can't believe it's the end of the season already. 2 episode finale looks pretty cool..

Feathers

Watched this last night. I guess it was written as a Doctor Who episode and not just another James Corden in awkward love story?

Having said that, it was sort of fun if not very weighty.
To my mind, there wasn't enough real explanation of the ship or what t was trying to do. On entry, the Doctor seemed to suggest that it was trying to build a time machine yet by the end of the scene it had bacome an existing machine looking for a pilot. Which was it? and if it already existed, why didn't The Doctor know about it already?

On KC's point. Hmmm, not sure although I can see where that comes from. Personally, if a lot of the RTD era suddenly didn't exist and we moved the story back into our version of reality, I wouldn't be that put out. Can I make a list of things to change please?

Note: Perception filters again...
I quibble, it was fun and next week looks interesting too.

Let's face it I'd love to get rid of the RTD cybermen and bring in the original ones.
