Mike. Tut tut.

Here's a treat all. Matt Smith turned up at this weekends Glastonbury Festival. Have a guess what they played.

NASA discovers crack in the Milky Way Doctor Who warned us about

If you've been watching Doctor Who lately, then you're already aware of the crack in the universe that's been following the Time Lord and his companion all season. And based on the image of the day spotted over at The Daily Galaxy, that crack ... may be real.

The snake-like object located around 11,000 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius was snapped by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, and as described, it sounds as scary as anything the Doctor has ever faced: " A thick, sooty cloud large enough to swallow dozens of solar systems and may be harboring beastly stars in the process of forming."

Check out the eerie comparison between the real and the televised below. We don't know about you, but we plan on keeping our sonic screwdrivers close at hand.

Definitely on a nice Doctor Who high still.  :)

Here are two nice videos I found.  Might be some slight spoilers for some of the season.  So don't watch unless you are caught up.  (Nothing from the last episode in these though)

I've finally seen the end to this season and have to say that I'm quite happy with the result.

This could have gone so horribly wrong in a number of ways but they seem to have successfully steered clear of most of them and addressed a number of 'issues' on the way past. I did think the very end was a bit of a stretch but within the context of this show in particular, it's one that I think they can get away with. I was certainly smiling by the time it finished.

Good job on the season and looking forward to the next one!

Really glad you enjoyed it too Mike.  I know a few people seem to be caught up maybe a bit much with all the time travel stuff.  But I just really went with the episode and found it both utterly charming and very dramatic in many ways.  The only thing that scared me was thinking towards the end - how can they top this?  :)

Feathers

Well that's true. A repeat performance next year could come off as a little flat.

Still, if the worst we have to complain about is the fact that things are too good...

I have literally only watched the first three episodes of the latest season, only because I've been stuck in my lovely Dartington bubble but from what I've seen, Matt Smith is brilliant, it just took the fans (mainly the girls) a while to get used him after the fantastic job Tennant did. The new look Daleks are awesome, shook things up a bit.
Captain Kathryn Janeway: [entering the mess hall] Coffee, black.
Neelix: Uh, sorry, Captain. We lost two more replicators this morning...
Captain Kathryn Janeway: Listen to me very carefully, because I'm only going to say this once: Coffee. Black.
Neelix: Yes, ma'am.

Meds

I think you are the first to say that about the Daleks. I am recording a Dr Who special for TSF alongside Kenny (Geekyfanboy) and Kasey (KC) in two weeks time so plenty of time to send in a mp3 on your thoughts :D

Oh god really lol?? Gotta catch up with it on the iPlayer first before I make an informed decision. On first impressions alone I can say I'm happy with it  :)

Well I'm a old style fan and i have to say Smith is quickly becoming my second favorite Doctor. :D Oh and the new look Tardis Droooooooooool

AtlantisAngel

I'd have to say Matt Smith is third after Pertwee and Tennant. It took me a while to get past the fact that the TARDIS looked a little like the Titanic... Did it always have a staircase? My sister said it did, I argued it didn't.

I believe it did before RTD, but not during his run.
