Maybe he just calls Earth home as he knows his home planet is time locked.

Meds

Yup. On a side note, I don't believe Gallifrey is destroyed ( anymore ) ;)

stonut

I always thought it was time locked, even more so after the episode when they used master to bring into Earth orbit.

So....tonights episode.
Is it a coincidence that we need a Doctor to die and now we have an almost carbon copy Doctor?....and with only 2 more episodes to go before the mid season break! (My how thats flown by!!)
Meds

It's flying by Ant. I know what you mean.

Another creepy episode, man I'm loving the darkness.

Yeah ...
So Ganger doctor is the one that steals the Tardis at some point and heads in time. Real Doctor catches up to him and shoots him. Only thing left to figure out is 1) Who the woman is. 2) What's going on with Amy
Meds

Arthur Darvil is getting better and better in my opinion as Rory, he's becoming a true companion with his compassion. Amy, well she's getting more and more meh!
Watched it again earlier and there is some classic horror quick edits going on. Brilliant.

Who the woman is.

I know that. She's Jenny Mutant, the genetically engineered Polymorph from Red Dwarf episde, Polymorph :)

same actress anyway :)

I like some of the stuff in the recent episode, but frankly the basic story has been done before - even in Star Trek several times.  And Meds, Amy is never meh!  ;)

I don't know how I end up getting behind on these episodes but I have 2 to watch! I did catch one that they played which must have been a Christmas episode I missed from 2008. It was the one with the giant cyberman and a guy who thought he was The Doctor. David Tennant was The Doctor in it. I thought it was a really good episode. For the life of me I can't remember what it was called!

Meds

That was The Next Doctor a Christmas special from 2008.

That one was poorly received in general (or so I read online) but I actually really enjoyed it. I thought David Morrissey played an excellant part and, when they showed all the previous Doctor's incarnations. They included a picture of Paul McGann which confirmed him as an actual cannon accepted official Doctor. Which had been debatable before this....

I'm hoping we get to see a cross over story sometime with McGanns Doctor and Matt Smith's. Be nice to see a bit more of McGann in that role.

Did they definitely say it was the Eccleston's Doctor that was around for the Time War with the Dalek's or could it have been McGann's leading to Eccleston after the death of the Timelords?

Meds

I think the war began with the McGann Doctor and he regenerated during the battles. Here is a recent picture of McGanns later costume, not the long leather jacket and war bag. Also the sonic screwdriver is pretty cool.
