WOW!  Just WOW!  Loved it.  I mean really loved it.  Great start!  I think Matt Smith has already won me over.  And Karen Gillan as Amy - awesome too!  Great chemistry.  I want more already!

I know the feeling Rico.. I saw it two days ago and I'm still on my Who high..

I was most impressed with this young actor, Matt Smith.  I had my doubts about him, but I think he's going to be fine in the role.  I think I'll always miss David, but this guy has some chops.  The scene in the kitchen was hilarious.  And he works well with the new female companion.

P.S.  Meds - are they going right into the new season?  New episode next weekend??

Meds

Yes next episode is Saturday, we have another 12 episodes to go. Seen a lot of episode details and they sound awesome.

I was hoping that was the case and there wasn't going to be a delay between the premiere and the rest.  Really looking forward to them.

I'm doing a guest slot on the Dr Who podcast ( was DWO) on episode 6 Vampires Of Venice if anyone is interested :) hope I do ok lol.

Will have to give that a listen. I stopped listening when Tony left a while back....in fact. I only noticed the other day that my subscription list has lost nearly all of my Dr Who podcasts.....I think I've only got "Tims Take On" left!!

Meds

Yeah Tony does The Flashing Blade podcast now with Jo ( regular contributor and friend of Waffle). There is a site called The Doctor Who Podcast alliance and Tony and Trev ( who worked with Tony on DWO ) started that up. I was asked to choose any episode lol in the middle seemed a good idea lol

Well tonights episode was awesome. Very emotional at the end, and the Dr is in full flow.

They always say in the UK that the best Doctor is the one you grew up with. For me, this rung true....Tom Baker was always my definitive Doctor. I loved most of the others, especially Tennant. But Tom Baker was my Doctor.

After watching tonights episode...only Matt Smith's second outing as the Doctor, I think this could change. Matt Smith was born to play this role!!

And the writing is awesome too........

Couldnt have put it better mate. Although Tom was my first doctor for about three years, it was Davison I connected with but boy oh boy is Matt Smith heading towards taking the best ever Dr crown.

Some imagies from tonights episode. Episode 2 The Beast from Below.

Just finished the second episode..
Steven Moffat writes such interesting stories.. so much emotions and OMG moments. Matt Smith still amazes me, it feels like he's been playing The Doctor for years. And Karen Gillan is so enchanting as his companion.. can't wait for next Saturday
