I think the figures were purely for the fact it was Easter weekend, very sunny and the 6pm time slot is a factor.

So the second episode was brilliant, the ending had me in shock :)

Dangelus

Yes that was a bit of a surprise wasn't it?

Hmm. Snooker rules in our house so I'm not sure when I'll get to see it.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Pyrovile I thought either its
Romana or of course the doctors daughter from the Tennant episode.
All online conversations I've seen seem to be overlooking something which I think is going to be the biggest event of this episode as this and maybe the next season takes shape.
The female face in the door watching Amy. I'm convinced they are in some artificial reality....maybe a dream. Is the Dream Lord set to return?

I wondered about the Dream Lord as well, but I think Moffat would have dropped larger hints.  Jenny?  Maybe.  Romana is a good theory as well.  Could she have escaped the Time War by fleeing to E Space?  The return of Susan?  I'm puzzled by Rory remembering his time as a Roman.  If he's human, how does he remember something that happened to an Auton?
Well, despite reading all your spoilers I didn't expect that!

Interesting to see where it goes from here.

I loved...
the instruction to Nixon to record everything that happened in the Oval Office.
Feathers, that was great.  I also like the
Tricky Dick
part.

Nice theories! Here's mine:
I think that the kid is Rory and Amy's kid. She's probably the first child conceived by humans that are both changed by the Tardis and maybe even in the Tardis. I think that she might represent the rebirth of the Timelords. Given that Amy is thousands of years old now and the light that recreated the universe had a lot of her atoms in it, it might have changed her as well. Between the rift energy always in her life and the Tardis energy, I think that it makes sense. It might also explain why the little girl had pictures of Amy with a baby.

Look at what the Silence said, she helped bring them about ... I would be surprised if the Silence and the Timelords are both connected to Amy. Those that become the Silence and those that become Timelords either now or old.

When you think about their power, it's like a super version of the Chameleon circuit or psychic paper. Rather than seeing what blends in or what you want them to see, you just forget.

Amy will bring the Silence, she is honored. The First Silence Baby and the First new timelord baby inside her. One making to other seem to not be there.

Just a theory, but it explains the prictures, the pregnancy, the there not there, the "timehead", the proto Tardis the Silence have, and maybe even why the Doctor is pulled to Earth.
Pyrovile

Great theory. I don't buy it, but it is just fantastic.  I wish I had thought of that.

Great episode,....
Loved so many parts of this one.  It starts off with such shocks, chasing our merry little group around and killing them all off - or at least appearing to kill them.  Then inside another prison for the Doctor.  So was it the Silence that provided that black box material?  And the Tardis inside - awesome!

As far as the resolution using the moon landing to sort of clue the world in, I was ok with that.  I do have kind of a problem that the Silence have been on Earth since the start of man, controlling and shaping things.  Was hoping they might go back and eliminate them at the start of all that.  And when you can Time Travel, why doesn't the Doctor do that??  But again, not a huge deal.

As far as this little girl, they certainly seem to be pointing that it's Amy's baby - and it seems now also a Time Lord too.  Could this possibly be River Song?  Just a quick thought.  Anyway loved the episode and can't wait for more.
Pyrovile

I've got it!
The young girl is the Doctor Donna!
