An all of this without a comment from Meds!

That've developed a few things in the course if this story, not necessarily stuff for the season arc but a few wider details of the show have been changed/clarified I think. A lot if fun stuff in this one, no matter what angle you come at it from.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I enjoyed this week's episode quite a bit too.  Learned some interesting stuff related to the Tardis and so forth.  Good performances by all once again.  The Doctor especially had to show quite a range of emotion in this one.  Nice to see how much he really cares for his beloved Tardis.

It demonstrated a good knowledge of the history of the show from Neil Gaimen too. It's surprising how much of an influence this show must have been to a whole generation of science fiction and fantasy authors.
It was clever how they short circuited a whole lot of discovery stuff by having the TARDIS character repeat the detail having heard it in the future. That ought to have been quite annoying but actually worked relatively well.
I've heard criticism aimed at....
Rory dying yet again. I personally am convinced that this reality with the Doctors death, Rory's repeated death's and waiting around for 100's of years again etc.... is actually all taking place in Amy's mind and is related to the eye patch woman storyline. I don't think it's real and think the Dream Lord maybe involved...

Part of me hopes not. I feel like we did all that last year, or at least that was the effect of the way the last series ended.

(Hopefully an obscure enough statement not to need spoiler tags)

Lol well the reason I have only just been able to comment is because I've just seen it. Been busy with theatre stuff so....

This was ( in my opinion ) the best new Dr Who episode. I adore the Tardis, I have done since 1978. The acting the story the whole blue box sexiness really made my day.

Rory dying is part of the story arc. I'm certain. Regarding earlier comments about RTD era and Moffat era in my opinion the best bits of RTD's era were Moffats stories, not taking anything away from RTD but his ego took over I'm afraid.

I think I may have to go and watch it all over again :)

One Question? Do you get Doctor Who Cinfidential over there?

Geekyfanboy

Just watched the latest two episode.. Pirate one was fun but big mistake on the pirate that was with the gang and the boy cut then no sign of him until the end when he is with the others and the bridge.. they must have cut a scene before it aired.

Doctor's Wife was AWESOME!!! the Tardis/woman reminded me of the DoctorDonna. Great performances by all.

I'm with you on that.  I like stories that have a beginning, middle, and end.  I like the RTD arc better than the Moffat arc.  Moffat is drawing things out way to far and I'm to the point of losing interest.

I really hope that this week's story is not a 'one off,' and we can look forward to more like  that in the future.  Like you I was on the point of losing interest, and believe me Doctor Who is part of national psyche here in the UK, but this week's episode has 'tickled my fancy' as we say over here.  :)

This is pretty great. South Park meet Doctor Who

Rico

That's awesome!  (For those that don't know "South Park" there is a character named Kenny that dies in a lot of the episodes - but always is back the following week.)

Kenny gets to be in Doctor Who? He'll love that... Oh wait... What? Oh, OK. Sorry.

So how will Geekyfanboy die in next weeks episode? Errr... Rory. I mean Rory. Sorry!

If Kenny keeps coming back to life maybe he is a timelord!

Watched the Curse of the Black Spot last night. Still need to catch the Doctors Wife. I wanted to say I also remember that guy missing from the storage room. Poof! Gone! But if I remember correctly he was back at the end.
I also caught The Doctor saying "from our planet" when he was checking out the dead alien on the spaceship. Did anyone else catch that? I mean isn't The Doctor from someplace else. I know thats kind of a nitpick but I just found that interesting.
Meds

The Doctor tends to refer to Earth as always being his planet. Ironic really considering he's from Gallifrey. There is the point that he is half human depending which line of who-ology you go down. I don't go with that I go with the lUngbarrow story line.
