I was just chatting to Ian Todd a few hours ago about this and although I think it would be great I can't see it happening. With him being in The Hobbit, Trek etc I doubt he will ha e time for TV, but the 50tg anniversary of the worlds longest running sci fi show could push him into the project.

I think it could work very, very well but I wouldn't like to guess as to the liklihood of it. Of couse if he goes a bit too far towards the John Simm 'Mad Master' I'd be a little less keen but I can't really see him playing it that way if given the option to play it a little straighter and darker.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Yesterday when I left the grocery store, I saw a sweet blue corvette leaving the parking lot. On the license plate it said...TARDIS! Just had to share!  ;D

She's very attractive.  Anyone seen her act in anything?

Shes been in a few well known tv series over here most notably Emmerdale and Waterloo Road (don't watch them) but she has been in captain America playing the character of Connie and in the new Titanic series which starts this week in England.

From a personal point of view i'm a bit disappointed about the choice. Nothing against Jenna, but I was rather hoping for a older actor or even a male companion. I just hope they stay away from any love story lines or infatuation stories.

I agree. That gets so old, and in my opinion they did it to death with Rose and it should be put to bed. It's why I loved Catherine Tate, she had zero interest in bedding the Doctor.

Pretty sad, I'm kinda attached to Rory and Amy.

I find it funny that some people think that male companions are flukes now and this seems to be the way the show is headed. The only male long term companions seem to be more of companions to the companion and not people that the doctor initially recruited. Even in the specials, the default companion seems to be female, hell did Bernard even get to be in the Tardis for any amount of time.

I'm love to see a male companion and maybe even a buddy cop angle as opposed to the current version of the doctor where he takes impressionable young women on exciting voyages and not expect them to fall for him.

I'd have preferred someone like Shappi Korsandi as the new companion.

Someone in the Doctor Who team must like the Old West.  It's been kind of an ongoing theme for awhile now.
