A Doctor Who series will come out on Sept 26 starting with a new #1. It will be published by IDW.

First episode just finished, not putting anything here, not even in a spoiler tag as you have just a few hours to go. Did i like it???? I bloody well loved every minute of it.

Trying to decide between waiting for BBC - America to air it tonight with all the cuts and commercials or use "other means" to see it clean.  :)

ChrisMC

I am probably gonna watch it on demand, the BBC America on demand isn't so bad.

Those "clean" cuts are just someone else's edits. Also, given that it's a same day thing, the best way to continue to get Doctor Who so soon in the states is to make sure the ratings are there. As much as I'd like to see it sooner, I'm not going to be part of the problem when they are working damned hard to give us same day access.

First, I pay for Comcast cable and I have BBC-America with my cable package.  Second, my TIVO is ready and waiting to record the BBC-America airing in about two hours and I will be watching it.  And last, it is very well known that the "versions' we get in the States have portions missing from the broadcast to insert more commercial time.  Typically they come back to a scene and lose a bit after each commercial.  In any case, no harm done in my view.  Now, if I wasn't already paying for this and not viewing it on Comcast that would be a different story.

My comments wasn't an indictment on your decision to pirate or not pirate because I've done the same. I was pointing out what I was going to do and my decision process behind it. I really would love to see the UK version, but this time I'm just going to pick up the season off of Xbox and watch it after the show goes on break. I really wasn't trying to suggest that pirating the show makes anyone a bad person. Hell, if it wasn't for other sources, most of us hear would have had to wait years to see the first few season of the reboot.

For this opener I would be most upset if they cut even the smallest of scenes because every aspect is important. Judging by my watch it should have aired over there.
Looking forward to reading stuff in spoiled tags etc lol

Greatly enjoyed the new episode.  It had a different vibe to it that I enjoyed.  Perhaps a bit more serious in tone.  Still thinking about it while I'm prepping for the podcast.  Great to have the series back!  :)

Yeah, there is definitely a different feel for this new series. Digging it, loved the twist...

Loved the first episode.. my only question is...
Wasn't the girl who turned out to be a Dalek.. isn't she the actress who is playing the new companion next year?
