Doctor Who The Eleventh Doctor - spoilers

I liked it again but preferred the first episode. I still think Matt Smith is born to the role though. That leaves the only possible problem as the writing but so far we've no problems there :)

(I agree with meds. I don't think we#ll get any deliberate tie in's to the new creatures of the recent era, other than Moffat's own creations.)

Well we know that some classic monsters from the classic era are coming back ( those were shown in the first episode) and I'm looking forward to seeing them.
I'm listening to some audio clips at the moment and even in audio Smith is awesome as The Doctor.
Looking forward to buying the new model Tardis :D

[spoiler]Blimey this was good, brilliantly written by Mark Gatiss. The Dakeks are, well talk about homage to the 60's films, wow. Smith's Doctor once again is on top form and  Amy Pond is brilliant. Good to see Winston and a good old cup of tea.[/spoiler]

This one left me in two minds. I didn't really like the story. I didn't reckon much to Winston Churchill.

But I did like the
[spoiler]colourful Daleks.......I'm not sure exactly how they came to be though. I must have missed that part.[/spoiler]

I am so tired that my entire body just involuntarily jolted on numerous occasions whilst trying to watch this episode....so it could be possible that I'm suffering with severe tiredness. I think a re-watching is called for when less tired!! :sleep

That said, how good does the trailer for next weeks episode look!!??

I think it deserved a two parter, Churchill did look a bit like the dog in the adverts.

TBH, I thought Amy was going to do the whole "Oh Yes!" line near the end.......and was then disappointed when she didn't!!

Overall, I enjoyed the characters and how they developed, but the story itself was sort of meh.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the show, but this just seemed like a way to change the voices of you know who.

I have heard somewhere that Moffat said he was definately going to keep the Doctor Who storylines with the entire family in mind...especially the children. I'm gonna chalk this one down as an episode that was prbably aimed at a younger audience than myself....and look forward to next weeks....that trailer looked awesome!!

Yeah the episode was a bit weak. [spoiler] Was the power ranger Daleks from the original Doctor who? [/spoiler] Also (I am not sure if this is a spoiler) I was hopping that the spitfires in space were going to be a different episode, the idea of that was REALLY cool but I wanted a WWII in space episode not a Daleks in WWII episode. Also my cousin brought this up [spoiler] Is this season going to be in a parallel universe? the Boy Friend's badge said it was from 1990 even though he was born around then, the uniforms in WWII looked more like WWI, maybe the crack messed up the worlds? [/spoiler]

Just watched this most recent one with the Dalek's return.   :dalek
I enjoyed it.  Had a few bumps, but overall another fun episode.

[spoiler]The Dalek's just seem to never go away and I guess that's a good thing.  I really liked the part when the Doctor and Amy were helping the android guy remember being human to stop the bomb inside him.  Good stuff.  Not quite sure what to think about Amy not knowing about the Dalek's, but I'm sure we'll find out.[/spoiler]

I've heard a few places saying that the timing seems to be off and maybe related to the crack. The first I heard mention of this was on another forum and it said

The Doctor has been landing in the wrong time on every Tardis trip so far. Twice with Amy (12 and 2 year errors), and 1 month late for Churchill. And now I decided to check The Beast Below, and the years don't add up there either. At the beginning the Doctor says the Earth was fried in the 29th century (800 years in the future), and later estimates that Liz 10 is 300 years old. So he thinks he's 1100 years in the future, but the computer in the voting booth says Amy is 1306 years old. 200-year error.

You know, it seems like the Tardis is being drawn to the cracks in time rather than the other way around? I mean, that's why it keeps missing I think. Like trying to throw darts with a big magnet a few inches to the side

I have since seen a lot more points raised and do believe this is an on-going story arc for the series
