Or if he is adding it as a link between the end of Anakin's fall to the dark side in Sith and his return to the Light in ROTJ.

I would imagine more this. He may be a lot of things, but overly involved in specific fan reactions to this seems unlikely.
I know what you mean, it does seem unlikely.  But it just seems so odd considering how much and how often that specific line was singled out by so many people.  He has to know, right?  I mean the guy has access to the internet and all, it would have been hard to NOT be aware.

Like them or not, I can't wait to watch these now. This is just too funny :)

He has a vision of how Star Wars is meant to be, granted the vision keeps changing but like it has been said it is his to do with as he wishes. I'd love to know what's going on in his head though.

He certainly was well aware of the Han shot first contoversry as he wore a shirt that said "Han Shot First" in a photo from the set of Indy IV!

Jesus, Dan, you are a news hound! As Joby mentioned, there is an element of symmetry to it. In ROTS the NO was when he learns he may have caused Padme's death and likely really seals the deal on his journey to the Dark Side. Now it ROTJ the NO is when he redeems himself, denies the Dark Side, and sacrafices himself to save Luke. Although I think it's not needed, I can see what GL may have been considering.

Gotta say....this bums me out. I liked the silent tossing of the Emperor, the music, the body language, the editing gave you Vader's mindset, he just acted. Oh well. It is what it is.

Is the addition in ROTJ an exact duplication of the "NOOOO" from Revenge of the Sith or does it just recall the line?

I just read over on SWAN's forums it's a cold, quiet "no" followed by a more forceful, loud "NO!!!" when he scoops up Palpatine.

Comments are that it isn't exactly the same. I doubt he got James Earl Jones in to record this especially (although I wouldn't rule it out) so perhaps it is from a different take of the scene from Sith.
