I have to say a big thankyou to Rick, Amy, Andrew and Catherine, as they showed Tao tao and I a great time. The last few days were fun filled, and kept us going. The whole families generosity is amazing, as they shared so much of themselfs and their time with us. Taking the time out from their busy life to spend the past few days with us meant a lot to both of us. We had some awesome trips out to see the sites around Aberdeen. The first day they took us out to Westport, and that was real great, going out on the rocks was fun, and real nice of them to climb up on them with us. The next day they had a surprise of a stretch limo ride out to Lake Quinalt, which blew both Tao tao and I away. That was so cool that they did that for us. On the way there and back we watched some Star Trek episodes, that was a lot of fun. They made us some great meals as well, in the morning making great breakfasts, and then in the evening some great suppers. Rick and my trip to the Star Wars store was a lot of fun, and great to spend that experience with Rick. He is so cool.

If anyone is out in the Aberdeen area, they should stop by and visit the Moyers

I am just blown away by the kindness the Moyers showed to my Wife and Myself. The Term Good People perfectly describes the Moyers.

Thankyou Rick, Amy, Andrew and Catherine.

You are so welcome Jeff.  I am so happy for this forum.  It has let me meet many people I wouldn't have known otherwise.

We too, really enjoyed meeting you guys in person.  Thank you for your kindness as well.  We had a lot of fun on all the adventures and really enjoyed going out to eat with you guys too!  THANK YOU!

A special thanks go out to Rico for this great forum.   It has enriched my life by introducing me to some very good friends!

WOO HOOOOO!

I have been and always will be, your friend.

Thank you Jeff and Tao Tao for driving the great distance to come and visit us.  We have had a great time with you also.  Rick is going to be very sad to have you do because he will be going back to having cold cereal for breakfast again.  It is fun to have company over.  Maybe we should try to get a bigger house so we could have a Geeky bed and breakfast.  It could be fun.

One more thing.  I've had some requests for my Swedish pancakes recipe.  Well, I don't have a recipe as much as a formula of sorts.

For the 6 of us I used 4 eggs, 4 cups of 2% milk, about 1 T. of sugar, a pinch of salt and 1 1/2 c. - 2 cups floor and then I mixed it well.  The flour is the tricky part.  I just slowly add it and mix until it is about the consistency of cream.  Swedish pancakes are a tad bit thicker than French crepes but much thinner and less puffy than American pancakes.

I cook them on medium high heat in a non-stick pan.  Rick's grandma used to melt a whole cube of butter and but it in the batter. I don't do that but I cook the pancakes in about 1/2 t. of butter.  I use about a 12 inch pan and cook one at a time.  You just put about 1/2 cup of batter in the pan on top the melted butter and swirl the pan a bit so the  pancake is very large but thin.  Cook on one side until the  bottom is golden brown and then flip and cook the same on the second side.  The pancakes are good served with anything that you would use on American pancakes or waffles.  I like homemade jam or fresh berries the best.

I love the Star Wars Store video! Jeff seemed to disappear into some inner world as he started to inspect the stock. Mind you, I suspect he already owns at least one of everything anyway!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

There was a lot of cool things there, plus a lot of things that I have or did own at one time. Sort of cool to see some of the things that I owned at one time, that no longer have. A lot to take in for sure.

OK, so you're not a 'collect everything' guy? You refine your collection as time goes on and sell off pieces you no longer want?

I don't collect, personally, so have never had a real idea of how it grabs people. I'd always assumed (forgive me for the crude terminology) that most collectors simply 'amassed stuff', getting ever more things.

For me, that is sort of how it worked out, I sort of refined what I have. When I was younger, I bought a lot of action figures, but it just became to much. At the time I had the idea of being a completest, but that is impossible, and I came to realize that I had items I did not really like, or was buying things I had no idea why I was. Now I buy the odd action figure here or there, but for the most part, it is more higher end items from time to time.

I guess like anything in life, you sort of learn as you go along, and a bit of a journey, albeit a costly one. Some people amass stuff, and I seemed to be on that path for awhile with the collectibles. We have a show over here called Hoarders, I watched a few Episodes of it from time to time, and it really gets me motivated to sell off or throw stuff away. That is basically taking something to the extreme.

Ironically, since I asked he question I caught up with your THWY episode where you partially answered it! I was wondering if you'd got into trading collectables but I can understand a refocussing of the collection.
