What an awesome final episode!  That's the way to end a series.  Thanks to everyone that worked on this and especially Tom Welling - one of the most fully developed Clark Kent's ever.  I'll miss seeing all of you each week.

I loved the use of the movie music. :)
And of course, they had to have his first real save as Superman to be Airforce One like the movie.
I TOTALLY loved the Smallville finale!!!!!!

Way to go!  They really did a great job of tying things together, paying homage to key superman mythos while making Smallville blend into it, etc.

I just cannot tell you how many times a big smile was on my face throughout the show.  And I loved the ending!  Geekwood!

Totally agree Rick.  Loved every minute.  Especially the ending,....
And I really liked how they used Chloe and her son to tie it all together, reading the "Smallville" comic book.  Very sweet!
The Smallville finale was amazing.  5 Stars.  It wrapped everything up perfectly.  Loved the Aaron Ashmore  surprise.  They gave fans everything.  This is how a show should end.  It will probably be the last time we hear the John Williams music while seeing those iconic images.  The reboot will probably not use the Williams score. In some ways this is the end of the current Superman as we know him. The Richard Donner Superman era has probably closed.
A fruitful journey to the Divine Treasury.

Yeah, the finale was great!  But, I think we will definitely get the John Williams music in the next movie.

There will be a few chords dropped in the new movie, a bit like the Trek film.

An iconic ending. Now I only have 9 seasons to catch up on and get there! (My wife likes Smallville but the effect of that is that we reraely get to watch any)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I have to catch up before the finale, got about 7 episodes in HD to watch before the big one, hogging up about 75% of my DVR.  My wife told me last night it was ridiculous and I need to watch them or they're getting deleted.

It will be interesting to see how Smallville effects the Superman canon when they reboot the next movie.  I know some people don't like the idea of Smallville having any effect on the canon.  But I just don't see how a show can run for 10 years and have no effect.  One thing that Smallville has already changed is the age of Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent.  The reboot, like Smallville, will not portray them as a much older couple, they will be a bit younger. The image of a childless couple just isn't the same as it was in the 1920's.

Michael Rosenbaum has redefined Lex.  Doing for Lex what Heath Ledger did for the Joker.(In my opinion.)  Hopefully like Smallville we will see a much more serious Lex.

I also believe in the reboot we won't see Lois Lane blindly walking through life not knowing that Clark is Superman.  I believe she will know Clarks identity much sooner.  That's not to say she should meet him in Smallville like the show, because that was unique to the Smallville universe.  But a lot of people just don't think Lois not knowing at all doesn't work anymore.

I also think Smallville has reminded people that behind the false image of glasses and somewhat clumsy Clark, is another Clark, the Clark Tom Welling gave us.  A nice, smart, decent person, with a lot of heart.

A fruitful journey to the Divine Treasury.
