Hello all,

I've been listening to the Treks in SciFi podcast for over a year now and I finally decided to join the message board after hearing how friendly it is from the year in review episode.

I got into Star Trek watching it with my dad as a kid and Voyager happened to start when I was in junior high. As a pre-teen, a female captain seemed like the perfect role model.

I now have a freshly minted master's degree in astronomy and like so many Americans is looking for employment.

I look forward to more podcast episodes and hopefully joining in some of the discussions on the message board.
