Hey folks,

Do we have any fans of 'Lost Girl' here?

I love this show. The first season aired on Showcase in Canada last fall and season 2 begins up there in a couple of weeks. It's airing in the UK beginning in September. The US Syfy channel has purchased the rights to air it but hasn't given us a premiere date yet.

The first half of season 1 was good but by around the middle of the season they really kicked things up a notch the last half was excellent. Can't wait for season 2. Kenzi, who is the sidekick, to the lead character, Bo, has some of THE best lines on TV. She is a riot.

Never heard of this show before but it looks like my kind of thing. Kind of a Buffy-vibe from the trailer. I'll seek it out!

It's similar to Buffy in that it's got a strong female lead but it's much more mature than Buffy in the subject matter that's covered. They both have a great humor component as well.

Will be curious to hear your thoughts once you get a chance to watch several episodes.

I'll definitely let you know Kevin. I managed to "acquire" the first couple of episodes so far. Now, just to find some time to watch them. :)

Excellent!

Keep in mind that like most good shows it takes several episodes before the show and the cast really "hit their stride".

Only had time to watch the first episode so far, but I like it. A little quirky and different than I expected. I plan on watching more real soon. The lead actress is certainly easy on the eyes too - which never hurts. :)

The show started over here in the UK last week, and I am already a fan! A strong start to a new show. To be honest, I have heard you talking about it on your podcast, and when I heard it was airing over here I was determined not to miss it!! Thanks. :)

Syfy has the right to air "Lost Girl", right? I hope they do so soon! I've been hearing about this for a while, and I want to check it out.

Yes, the US Syfy channel purchased the rights to the first two seasons although they have yet to announce when they will begin airing it.

Glad to hear that Rico and others are enjoying it. It's very good.

Two episodes in now and enjoying it. I like how they don't mess around much in the show. They just get right into things. SyFy needs to start airing this!

With only 13 episodes in their first season there wasn't much 'fluff'. They got things going pretty quickly.

With all the nice publicity that the show is now getting since it's airing season 2 in Canada and season 1 in the UK you would think that they would step up and announce something. Lost opportunity in my opinion.

Maybe the Syfy channel heard me because I just got an email about their October press tour and Lost Girl is one of the shows listed so I'm guessing they will premiere it in January. That's just a guess.
