If you know nothing about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Person_of_Interest_%28TV_series%29

So this aired last night and I'd just gotten home from the gym so good timing to sit down and watch something. Also I'd just heard about it earlier yesterday in the recent Treksf. Personally I thought it was enjoyable. I liked it. It's a cool idea. It was just that. I thought Reese was a little unreal as a character to be honest. So meh would be my rating.

Also...
At the beginning after he beat up the guys in the subway and the cop was say all the stuff about you much be special ops for those kinda moves, I was just like seriously? A little sloppy Muay Thai and Krav Maga, yeah that's special.

I thought it was a cool twist later when they revealed that the lady was actually the bad guy there. To give it some credit.
I liked Mr. Finch, and Michael Emerson I felt did a great job with his role. The concept of all these things watching and listening to people and predicting is really cool. I hope the show finds it's feet a bit, cause it hasn't grabbed me yet, but I'll watch more.

I liked the first episode too.  Almost getting my Jack Bauer type fix back with this Reese guy.  I liked "Ben" or Mr. Finch quite a bit too.  Very cool concept for a series.  I'll keep watching.

I liked this show also. Took me to about the opening credits to warm up to it, as I found Jim Caviezel's character Reese at the start a bit hard to get a grasp on. I liked Michael Emersons character Mr Finch also, sort of nice to see some of the qualities of Ben from Lost, but without the evil side.
About mid way through the episode I sort of got the idea that the story would have a twist, so was not really surprised top find out the Lady was actually the bad person. That group of Thugs that Reese keeps on running into, would be funny if they are somewhat reoccurring characters, as I like watching him beat up on them.
I had trouble with Reese through out the whole episode. I liked more the idea of him, but I don't know if it was script or acting, but he was just so cardboard cut out to me of the typical depressed special ops character. Hopefully we will get more depth on him and also less depression vibes. I'm tired of depressed characters with no other good defining feature for their attitude.

Like I said before Mr. Finch I liked a lot though. He really fit as a character and there was enough to understand him and why he is doing the things he is.

I thought this second episode was a lot better. I was a little iffy on the pilot, but this one tells me I think this show is gonna do ok.
Reese is a lot more believable to me. I like his character better, he's not so stereotypically depressive and suddenly action man like in the first one. I thought it was a good plot too with the girl. It was kinda simple, but I think that's good for a show just starting out and sometimes a basic idea can be very good. I like how we're getting little bit more information about who Mr. Finch really is. The scene at his cubical I think said a lot about him and how he feels about the machine he's created without saying to much. I thought there was some great character development with him. Some really awesome subtle stuff.
Well I hope this show continues like this in episode 3, but I think it's off to a great start after this episode.

I watched the second episode of this tonight. I am really liking this show, to me it has a lot of potential. Reese really shook off his duldrums and was full of a lot of energy in this one.

Yep, agreed.  I'm liking this show by JJ and his team quite a bit.  Nice mix of various elements.  I'll keep watching.

This is an awesome show. Joyce and I are really liking it a lot, and it seems to have that JJ Abrams mystery undertone! :)

ElfManDan

It's such a cool concept too. That alone had me interested. I'm glad to see Reese becoming a more connectable character too. I'm not jumping the gun to say it's awesome yet, but I think it has the potential to be.

ChrisMC

It's the combination of a different take on a crime show and the great actors that pulled me in. I am fully into this show now and I think it certainly passes Rico's "3 show" test. I think it might be my favorite new show so far.

It reminds me a lot of Tru Calling.  Very "here's the person you have to save, but you don't know the circumstances."  Of course, it has a different tone, but I can't help but make that connection.

This show continues to get even better and more interesting with each episode.  Loved the most recent episode with the kidnapped boy.  Everyone should give this series a try.  Great TV!

jedijeff

I agree Rico, I thought this past episode was the best yet. I really like the tandem of Reese and Finch, and how Finch is trying to keep his life a mystery.

moyer777

I agree.  I reall look forward to it.  It's a mystery each week to unravel, and the ongoing underlying storyline is pretty darn cool.  Pluse the main guy really kicks some butt.  WOW.  Wouldn't want to be on his bad side.  I loved how a couple of episodes ago they left it hang at the end.  Now we get to decide what happened.  Very cool.  Great show.
