The new podcast is now up covering the TNG episode, “11001001”<\/a> from season one of the series. \u00a0This is a fun and cool episode and I cover it with clips and plenty of background information. \u00a0First up for this week, I am running the annual donation drive for the podcast to pay for the hosting fees for the website and podcast hosting. \u00a0If you can make any type of donation, click HERE<\/a> and it will be greatly appreciated. \u00a0I also talk about some recent news stories. \u00a0Tim Russ, Walter Koenig and others are working on a new Trek film called “Star Trek Renegades.” \u00a0Learn more about this cool production HERE<\/a> and see a short trailer too. \u00a0Also, Walter Koenig (Chekov) got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past week. \u00a0See some cool pictures and video of the special event right HERE<\/a>. \u00a0I also discuss a little and speculate on the official title for the next Trek film, called “Star Trek Into Darkness.” \u00a0I chat a little about what I think this might mean – at least a few theories. \u00a0Then it’s on to the Trek episode for the week.<\/p>\n

The episode “11001001” is a really special one for season one. \u00a0We get to meet the Bynar aliens and learn a bit more about Riker and the rest of the crew during a stop at a Starbase for some repairs and upgrades. \u00a0I really like this episode a lot and was surprised I hadn’t covered it yet. \u00a0It’s a standout for season one and has some great, classic moments in it too. \u00a0I just watched the new Blu-Ray copy of this and it’s wonderful. \u00a0Never looked so good and this episode has some great effects work in it and cool stuff to see again in greater detail. \u00a0Also, we have some comments and a new parody song by Rick Moyer<\/a>. \u00a0Thanks very much Rick for all you do for the podcast.<\/p>\n
