This week on the podcast I finally dedicate a full show to one of my favorite Sci-Fi series that I grew up with – “Man From Atlantis”<\/a> from 1977. \u00a0This series only was on for four TV movies and a short, 13 episode season but it made a lasting impression on me. \u00a0I also do a brief, spoiler free review of the new film just out now, “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.”<\/a> \u00a0I enjoyed this fun, romp of a fantasy movie. \u00a0I talk about the big announcement this past week when we learned that JJ Abrams will be directing Episode VII<\/a> of the next “Star Wars” trilogy. \u00a0Exciting news and I also give some news on why I think Trek is still in good hands too. \u00a0I also talk a little\u00a0about\u00a0the first issue of the prequel comic to the next Trek film, “Countdown to Darkness.” \u00a0This is a 4 issue prequel comic that will be setting up the next film. \u00a0Then on move on to the main topic for the week.<\/p>\n Even though the series, “Man From Atlantis” only lasted for a few TV movies and one short season it has formed a cult following to this day and is greatly enjoyed still by many. \u00a0This week I go through the pilot episode in detail and talk about the series and what I like about it. \u00a0I share some behind the scenes info and also some news about a new book series being written by the actor who played the main character on the show – none other than Patrick Duffy. \u00a0It was fun to visit this series again and I’m very happy we now have some good, official DVD’s to watch for the movies and episodes of this series. \u00a0I hope everyone enjoys this brief look at a cult favorite.<\/p>\n I wrap up the show with a look ahead to our upcoming podcast schedule. \u00a0Thanks for tuning in this week and I hope you return again next week for another cool, TSF podcast!<\/p>\n\n
