Today on the podcast I did a classic TSF show. \u00a0I covered the 5th season episode of Voyager called, “Bliss.”<\/a> \u00a0I started off on the podcast covering the brand new “Star Trek Into Darkness” trailer that just hit the web a couple of days ago. \u00a0We finally get to see some new stuff in this short teaser trailer. \u00a0It’s easy to see the “Star Wars” influences on JJ’s film now. \u00a0But I’m still very excited to see this movie in about two months time. \u00a0I go over some of the worldwide release dates and I’m a bit bummed that the United States is getting the film about a week later than several countries. \u00a0It’s going to be hard to stay spoiler free during that week. \u00a0I also share a short message from Gates McFadden who is doing a charity auction of some of her own merchandise and many signed Trek goodies. \u00a0You can follow Gates on Twitter HERE<\/a> and follow her eBay auctions HERE<\/a> too. \u00a0Then it’s on to this week’s Trek episode that I covered.<\/p>\n The episode “Bliss” from season five of Voyager is basically a “Moby Dick” tale – to a degree. \u00a0Voyager runs into a huge space organism that makes their fondest dreams and wishes come true. \u00a0Seven of Nine is not affected by this and she along with the Doctor and Naomi Wildman try to stop the crew from making a terrible mistake. \u00a0It’s a fun, little episode and I cover it with a full commentary while I watch it again. \u00a0That about wraps it up for this week on the podcast folks. \u00a0Next weekend Chris & Al will cover the classic Disney film, “20, 000 Leagues Under the Sea.” \u00a0I will return in two weeks with another Year in Review show with a look at the year 2002. \u00a0Take care until then and enjoy the week ahead.<\/p>\n
