\u2013 1409.14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.treksinscifi.com\/images\/tsf5042.jpg\" width=\"653\" height=\"491\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This week I&#8217;m back with a classic style podcast covering a third season TOS episode. \u00a0The episode is called <a href=\"http:\/\/en.memory-alpha.org\/wiki\/Elaan_of_Troyius_(episode)\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Elaan of Troyius&#8221;<\/a> and is an interesting tale of love and sacrifice aboard the Enterprise with some cool guest stars too. \u00a0First off, I chat a little about what I have been doing lately and some of the geeky things I have been watching. \u00a0My movie going has slowed a bit as I&#8217;ve been working on my house a lot over the last month of so. \u00a0I talk about a great new Trek web series called the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLIPYu8RdPGbeja365XM7jpHLJLDgDbv4y\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Red Shirt Diaries&#8221;<\/a> that everyone should make sure to check out soon. \u00a0I also mention a cool Trek website with some info and picture of deleted TOS scenes called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startrekhistory.com\/index2.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Star Trek History&#8221;<\/a> you should check out too. \u00a0Then it&#8217;s on to the main topic for this week.<\/p>\n<p>The episode &#8220;Elaan of Troyius&#8221; is not the best of Trek but still has some interesting and fun moments in it. \u00a0The story revolves around Elaan who is to marry a man on a planet they are at war with in order to make peace (sort of a Helen of Troy story). \u00a0Of course, the Enterprise and her crew become involved and Kirk falls under Elaan&#8217;s love spell from her tears. \u00a0I cover the show with some clips and behind the scenes info too. \u00a0I enjoyed watching this episode again and hope you liked my coverage of the show.<\/p>\n<p>Next weekend, the team of Jen &amp;
