Podcast #895 – Picard Season Three – 2302.26

Ok, this week I mainly talk about the first two episodes of season three of “Star Trek: Picard.” I talk about other genre and non-genre stuff first and then dive into Picard. I have quite a few things to say about these first two episodes. There are some spoilers for these episodes so don’t listen if you haven’t watched these yet. I do have some questions and a couple concerns so far about this season. Hope you enjoy listening to what I have to say this week.

Next week will be a guest cast or repeat show. I’ll be back in two weeks with a new podcast from me. Also, the website is getting some changes and upgrades – just to let you know. Until next time take care and enjoy your week ahead.

Podcast #894 – “The Bellero Shield” – 2302.19

This week our most prolific gust host is back and covering another great episode from the 60’s era show, “The Outer Limits.” Here’s Mark with some comments about his guest spot.

Hello Everybody!

This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week as a guest host.  This week I review another episode of the classic science fiction anthology series “The Outer Limits.” It’s “The Bellero Shield“, starring Martin Landau and Sally Kellerman.  It’s got a great story and cast.  This is classic science fiction at its best.  I hope you enjoy it!

Everyone take care of themselves! This is M-5 signing off!

Thanks again Mark for another awesome guest podcast. I’ll be back next week with a look at the first two episodes of “Star Trek: Picard” – season three. Hope you have a great week.

Podcast #893 – TV Themes – 2302.12

Back again this week with another new podcast. I first chat a little about recent TV and movies and the upcoming season 3 of “Star Trek: Picard” that starts later this week. Then it’s on to the main topic. I love TV opening themes – and I miss them. Many new shows these days have eliminated the opening credit sequence to save time and money. But, I love older show theme songs and they make me feel like I did when watching the shows of days gone by. So this week I play several TV opening themes for you from different decades – starting way back in the 1960’s era. I had a lot of fun with this show and hope you like listening to it as well.

Next week Mark will be here to review an older episode of the classic “Outer Limits” tv series. Hope everyone enjoys the Superbowl later today – or at least the ads and new trailers. Take care and enjoy your week ahead.

Podcast #892 – Minicast – 2302.05

This week a shorter podcast mainly talking a little about the upcoming Marvel “Ant Man & the Wasp: Quantumania” movie and also about the upcoming season 3 of “Star Trek: Picard.” I talk about my Marvel love and hopes for this new movie coming out very soon. And I play the final trailer for this new season of Picard. It’s looking really great and the early buzz is good as well. And I mean, who doesn’t want to see a TNG reunion after 20 years? Anyway, only a couple weeks away now.

Hope you enjoyed this somewhat shorter podcast this week. Next week I’ll be back with a new show covering some favorite credit sequences and theme music to TV shows I’ve enjoyed over the years. So, until next time take care and enjoy your week.

Podcast # 891 – “Human Error” – 2301.29

This week it was finally time to do a classic style commentary episode. I picked one from late in the Voyager series. First I talk a little about what shows I’m watching and enjoying on the various streaming services. We have a lot more Trek coming very soon and then it’s on to the commentary. “Human Error” is a Seven focused episode late in season 7 of the series. I play the episode and offer commentary along the way. It was fun to watch this one again and I hope you enjoyed my chatter.

Next week should be a guest cast – hopefully. Until next time take care and enjoy the week ahead.

Podcast # 890 – Atlantis Rerun – 2301.22

This week it’s a repeat show from almost exactly ten years ago. Back on show #421 I talked about one of my favorite TV series, “Man From Atlantis.” This cool series from 1977 was very special to me. I’ve always loved swimming and the ocean and the idea of a man from fabled Atlantis was very appealing. We now have nice Blu-Rays of the series and even a novel by Patrick Duffy himself. Hope you enjoy this repeat show.

Next week I’m planning to do a Trek commentary episode. Until next time take care and enjoy the week ahead.

Podcast # 889 – “Percy Jackson” – 2301.15

This week I mainly talk about the two “Percy Jackson” films. I also of course talk about the recent stuff I’m watching on streaming and other sources. Lots to see these days and keep up on watching. I enjoyed both “Percy Jackson” movies and find they are a fun fantasy world similar to others things like “Harry Potter.” I talk about each movie, play the trailers and even discuss a bit about the upcoming Disney+ series that is due in 2024. Hope you enjoy the podcast this week.

Next week will be a repeat or guest cast. I’ll be back in two weeks with a new show probably featuring a Trek commentary episode. Until then, take care and enjoy the week ahead.

Podcast # 888 – New PC – 2301.08

This week for my first show of the new year I mainly discuss building my new PC. I start with some movie and TV discussion and especially talk about the wonderful “Wednesday” Netflix series. Then I move on to the computer talk.

I’ve built many computers over the years and the last week or so I’ve been working on my latest build. I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out – and I’m even using Windows 11. Anyway, hope you find this “tech talk” fun to listen to.

Next week I should be back with a new show – or it will be a repeat cast. Until next time take care and enjoy your week.
