I’m about to sign up for another year with my web host. To celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of “TREKS in SCI-FI”, I’ll be recording a podcast LIVE with a streaming webcam on Sunday, August 31st, 2008 starting at 1pm EDT. The main topic will be part two of my look at “Star Trek” music over the years. There will be some prizes to give away too. So come back to the main page of the web site then and it will show you how to view and join in the chatroom for this LIVE event!

We have just started up Season 8 of the Role Playing Game on the Forum. This season it’s a Mirror Universe storyline. We are always open to have new members. So check out all the fun over in the RPG section on the Forum!
Giving the site a bit of a new look. I’m swapping from Joomla and changed to using WordPress for the main page. I integrated all the links, notes, images, etc. from before. Hope you all like it!
I’ve been missing hearing from some of you. I wanted to pass on some information on upcoming events for the Podcast and the “Treks in Sci-Fi” web site and forums. This coming weekend on the podcast I will be covering the film, “Star Trek: First Contact.” One of the best of the Next Generation movies in my opinion. The weekend following coming out on August 3rd I will be doing another video podcast. Here’s your chance to submit a video entry and let everyone know about a favorite Trek episode you love. Keep them around 5 minutes or shorter please and get them in by August 1st. It will be a lot of fun to hear and see from many of you on this topic. Also, look for more contests, a special “Stargate” cast, another live show, and much more in the next several weeks as we continue to get closer to big show # 200 and over three years of the podcast! And don’t foget a new season of the forum RPG will be starting in a few weeks so now is your chance to jump on board. Check out the forums for this and more – especially if you haven’t dropped in recently. Make sure to drop by the Daily Blog’s I have set up too. The ‘Trek Daily Pic’ and the ‘Babes & Hunks of Sci-Fi & Fantasy’ are both a lot of fun. I’m always open for submissions for them too.

I have started a new little daily picture blog called the “Babes & Hunks of Sci-Fi & Fantasy.” Almost daily I will be posting a new photo of a babe or hunk from the entertainment worlds of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. This will mainly focus on the ladies but I will toss a few hunks in now and them. Check it all out HERE .
I am starting a little sponsor program for the podcast. For a small $5 donation you can sponsor a particular episode of the “Treks in Sci-Fi Podcast.” I will announce these at the start of each show. You can just have your name mentioned, plug something you want plugged, give a “shout out”, send a birthday wish – whatever you want. I think this will be both fun and help offset some of the recent increased costs for hosting, equipment, etc. to do the podcast.
