Hello Everybody!

This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week with another classic science fiction movie.  This week’s movie is “The Land That Time Forgot”, starring Doug McClure, Susan Penhaligon and John McEnery.  It’s got cavemen, dinosaurs and a U-boat.  Sounds like a fun movie to me!  I hope you all enjoy it! This week I get back to covering the middle, recent episodes of “Star Trek: Picard.” I first talk about some of the other TV and films I’ve been watching and what I’m enjoying on all the various streaming services. The I get into Picard. I cover Episodes 3-6 of season one this week. Lot of ground to cover and I play some trailers and briefly discuss the episodes and what I think so far about the overall story too. Been some really cool stuff and I’m very much enjoying the series. Hope you enjoy hearing me talk about it.

This week is the long awaited return of my wife Lynn (aka Mrs. Rico) to the TSF podcast! We did a show about ten years ago so we figured it was time to do another one. We kind of ramble on about books, knitting, movies, tv, and other topics. Not a typical podcast but one I thought you would enjoy. This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.  I’m back this week with another classic science fiction movie.  Today’s movie is one of the best science fiction movies from the 1950s.  It’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1956.  It stars Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter.  This movie is so good, they made four remakes!  I hope you’ll enjoy it. This week it’s all about the new “Star Trek: Picard” series. I first talk about a couple other recent shows I’ve been enjoying on Netflix and a couple other topics too. Then I move on to Picard. I play some clips and get into a little about the back story and other info on this newest Trek series. There are some slight spoilers in the podcast so you have been warned. About two weeks ago I joined a Skype chat with the “Star Wars Stacks” podcast group and we talked all about “The Rise of Skywalker” movie.  Most of us had only seen the movie once at this point and we had a lot to cover and discuss.  Obviously there are spoilers but it was a great chat.  Hope all of you enjoy listening and Happy New Year too!
