Podcast #908 – “Dial of Destiny” – 2307.02

Well, this it’s all about “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” First, I talk a little about other stuff, including the latest “Strange New Worlds” episode and a couple of other things. Then it’s on to Indy 5! Overall I really enjoyed the film. I give a little background on the movie and do some spoiler free talking before I get into spoilers (with fair warning ahead of that). Lots to talk about on this most likely last Harrison Ford Indy movie. Maybe Indy will be back someday in some other form or with a new actor, but for now they closed things out nicely I think.

If you want to watch my old vidcast from 2015 cover the first 3 Indy films, go HERE.

Next week will be a rerun show probably or a skip week. I’ll be back soon with more geeky goodness. Until then, take care and enjoy the 4th of July to all my American friends!

Podcast #907 – Comics in Media – 2306.25

This week a little change in my original plans. I moved the Indian Jones podcast to next weekend and this week I talk about comics in media – especially the recently film, “The Flash.” I liked the film a lot and I talk about a few of the reasons I think about why the box office isn’t that strong – and it’s not just because of Ezra. I also talk about other comic related properties too in streaming and other places. And finally I talk briefly about the “Star Trek: Prodigy” news and about the new season of “Strange New Worlds.” A fun, grab bag type of podcast which are becoming my favorite shows. Hope you enjoy it!

Next week I plan to do a big, Indiana Jones vidcast and talk about the new film too. Until next time, take care and enjoy your week ahead.

Podcast #906 – “The Day the Earth Caught Fire” – 2306.18

Mainstay guest host Mark is back with another classic Sci-Fi movie this week. Some words from the main himself on this cast.

Happy Father’s Day!

This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest.

I’m back this week with another classic science fiction movie.  It’s the 1961 apocalyptic thriller “The Day the Earth Caught Fire.”  It stars Janet Munro, Leo McKern and Edward Judd.

If you are a fan of 1960s British science fiction, you are going to love this movie.

I’ll be back soon with another classic science fiction movie.

 Until then… Take care…

This is M-5 signing off…

Big thanks to Mark for another “cool cast.” I remember watching this movie back in the day. I need to watch it again very soon.

Next weekend I’ll be back with a look at one of my favorite characters. Until next time, enjoy your week ahead.

Podcast #905 – “Comics Talk” – 2306.11

This week the talk is all about comics. I talk a bit about how great the “Across the Spider-Verse” movie is and how much I enjoyed it. A little about other recent TV and movies and then on to the comics. I discuss my love of comics, some of what I current read and also touch on the MCU and DCU as well. It’s a fun talk for the podcast for this week.

Next week should be hopefully a guest cast or maybe a repeat show. I’ll be back in 2 weeks to talk “Indiana Jones” as we prepare for the new movie. Until next time take care.

Podcast #904 – “Motor City Comic Con” – 2305.28

This week I’m back with a podcast briefly discussing last weekend’s Motor City Comic Con. I’m getting over another cold so this is a shorter cast than normal. I had planned to do a vidcast, but not up to that for this week. I do talk about the con and some details about who was there and what we did at the show. It was a pretty quick visit, but I say more about that on the podcast. I also plan to put up a music video with some pics and video from the con soon too.

Next weekend I should be back to 100% and be her with a full sized show for all of you. Thanks for listening and enjoy the week ahead.

Podcast #903 – “Guardians Trilogy” – 2305.14

This week I decided to cover all three “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies. I love these movies and each is unique and has a ton of fun – plus some great music too. I cover a few other topics first before discussing these films of the MCU. There are some very slight spoilers so you have been warned. Check out the podcast when you are ready.

Next week will probably be another skip week as I will be at “Motor City Comic Con.” But, I plan to do a vidcast about the con the following week. Until next time, enjoy your weeks ahead and stay well.

Podcast #902 – Mando/Picard Chat – 2304.30

A fun chat with some Patreon supporters today about season 3 of “The Mandalorian” and “Star Trek: Picard.” I got on Skype with Jedi Jeff, Quinn, and Doug to discuss both the latest “Star Wars” series and the latest “Star Trek” series. Amazing to have two such high quality and fun shows on nearly at the same time (we are spoiled these days). We talk about each show and everyone chimes in on what they liked and even some things we didn’t all care for in these series. A really fun discussion and there are some spoilers for these shows too, so you have been warned. Big thanks to the guys for joining me this week.

I’ll be announcing the contest winners of the Blu-Ray sets for “Strange New Worlds” in the next couple of days on the Facebook group – so stay tuned for that. Until next time, take care and enjoy your week.

Podcast #901 – Puppy Trek – 2304.23

A shorter than average show this week as I talk about our new puppy, Luna while recovering from a nasty cold. I also briefly talk Mandalorian and Picard – no spoilers. Glad to be able to get at least this shorter show out this week for you since I had to do a skip week last week. Enjoy!

Next weekend we will finally do a Patreon chat talking fully about Mando and Picard. Most like will record on Sunday, April 3th. Patreon members was the Patreon page for details. I also will announce the contest winners next weekend for the season 1 Blu-ray sets of “Strange New Worlds” too. Talk to you then and enjoy your week.
