This is more a classic style podcast. First I go over some news and information. The podcast has a new voicemail line. It is: 206-666-6127. Please make a note of it and use this number from now on. You can always email me as well at: treksf@gmail.com

I have some great listener and other audio as well this week. Robin Curtis (the actress who played Saavik in two Trek movies) did the voice intro for this show. I saw her a couple of weeks back at a local Comic Con here in Michigan. We also have another book review by the Duffster of readmorescifi.com. He talks about a classic SF novel by Robert Heinlein call “The Puppet Masters.” A great read and a favorite of mine as well.

Then we have a Celebration 4 report by Kenny about the big Star Wars con in LA last weekend. Thanks a lot for this Kenny! He also did a great write up on the convention and posted many pictures as well. Check all that out HERE!

Then we move on to the TREK episode for the week, “Tomorrow is Yesterday.” This is a classic tale of time travel from the first season.

This is one of the first “Star Trek” episodes I remember seeing when I first got into TREK. So this show has some very fond memories for me. It’s a different type of story and has a great mix of action, adventure and humor too. It’s wonderful to see the Enterprise and her crew through the eyes of a modern day pilot. He is quite surprised by what the future holds for our planet. I wanted to mention that the enhanced version of this episode aired a few weeks back and they really added some great new effects to the episode. If you get a chance to see the enhanced episode (it should be on iTunes by now), check it out. Here is one new shot of the Enterprise orbiting Earth.

We wrap up the show with another great father and son review by Rick and Nathan Moyer covering this week’s TREK tale. Always great to hear from the Moyer’s. I announce a new contest on this week’s show. You will have the chance to win a hard cover copy of the out of print book The Art of The Phantom Menace. This is a Star Wars inspired contest and I think it will be fun to do. The contest will run for two weeks. Check the podcast for all the details.
This week’s collectible is an item by Master Replicas and from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. It’s Captain Jack Sparrow’s compass. This is a cool piece and comes with a very nice display frame as well. Click the picture below to see more views of the item.

I think that will do it for this week. As always, thanks for downloading and listening to the podcast. Take care and I will be talking to you again soon!
