This weekend I cover the early season five episode of TNG called, “Ensign Ro.” It’s a great episode and one that introduces us to a new and intriguing member of the TNG crew. We start off with a little talk about the recent movie I saw in the theater, “Inception.” I really enjoyed this and try and give everyone a taste of what the movie is like without giving out any spoilers. Go see it when you can. We also have a great audio report from Comic Con this weekend from Mina out on the West Coast. She is out there having a fun time and lets us in on what has been going on at the con and with her there. Thanks a lot Mina! Then it’s on to the main episode topic for this week.
It was fun to watch this episode from TNG again and comment on it. Michelle Forbes as Ensign Ro is very good and strong in this episode. She really shakes things up for the happy crew of the Enterprise. I like how she deals with Picard especially. It’s also the episode where we learn about the Bajorans for the first time. This set the stage for basically the whole “Deep Space Nine” series and situation. Some cool location work and an interesting story about terrorism and oppression that is Trek at it’s best. I hope you all enjoy what I have to say. The episode is also up on the forum right now in the streaming player there to watch again.
