For this week’s show I go over some general news and information at the start. The T-Shirts are in and I am packing them up this weekend for shipment on October 15th (tomorrow). So for those that ordered a shirt you should have yours by the end of the week. Thanks to all that ordered one! I’m still doing some updates to the web site and my next project is to redo the collection gallery. I’m using some new software called “Coppermine” which is very nice. Please be aware some old links to pictures in the podcast notes might not function until I redo them. Please hang in there. I’ll have this done in about a week or so. The new forums are still working well. Don’t forget to come on by and get in on the Forum Member only contests and RPG currently happening on the forum HERE. And don’t forget to get your tickets to the special “Star Trek: The Menagerie” movie event coming up on November 13th. For all the info go HERE.

On the George Lucas front, the first volume of the “Young Indiana Jones Chronicles will be hitting stores later this month. This is a great series and full of cool history. Everyone should check it out. There’s also a neat X-Wing model up on eBay for auction that’s signed by George Lucas. The proceeds go to charity. Check it out HERE.

Then it’s on to this week’s episode review and discussion. A classic TREK episode and another favorite of mine, “The Immunity Syndrome”

I had a lot of fun taking another look at this classic tale of the Enterprise and her crew. Basically the ship encounters a giant amoeba living in space and it’s wiping out everything in it’s path. The crew must fight to survive and devise a way out of the organism and destroy it. The main story though revolves around the three main leads of the show. Kirk must decide which of his two close friends to send out in a shuttle to find out how to kill the organism. They are many fine character bits in this episode and it’s what makes it special. The remastered version is out now and they did a neat job on the new effects. All in all, a fun show!

The collectible this week is made by “Master Replicas” again and is the “Dead Man’s Chest” as seen in the second “Pirates of the Caribbean” film. This is a very cool piece made of resin and some metal pieces. It is hinged and opens either manually or with a special key you can buy separately. It is finished to appear old and weathered. The chest has some nice detailing on it and I’m glad I got it (especially since it was over half off in price on sale). Another cool item to add to my collection.

That’s it for this week folks. As always, thanks for listening to this week’s show. Talk to you all again very soon!
