Podcast # 318 – “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade″ – 1102.13

This weekend I cover the last of the original trilogy Indy films, “Indiana Jone and The Last Crusade.” This is a great movie and it was a blast watching it again and collecting clips for the podcast.  But first, early on in this show I cover some other news and info – including a cool new contest with some Blu-Ray discs up for grabs.  Also, some Trek XII movie news to pass on regarding the script and possible shooting start month.  I also put out a little pitch to try and get folks to support some genre TV on right now, since many series are in danger of getting canceled at the end of this season.  And then it’s on to the Indy 3 segment.  This Indy film has just a ton of cool things going for it.  We see Indy as a young teenager and learn how he adopted some of his trademark items like his whip and hat.  We also meet Henry Jones Sr., who is Indy’s father and played by Sean Connery in this movie.  We get all that plus the quest to find the holy grail too.  Plenty of fights, chases, action, adventure and a good deal of heart make this a wonderful movie and a fitting one to end the original trilogy of Indy films with.  I’m still hopeful we might get another Indy movie sometime, but for now this is still great to see again.  I want to thank Will, Meds, Rick, and Rob (the voice guy) for their contributions this week.  Awesome stuff guys – thanks again!  Tune in next week when I will be covering the DS9 episode, “Tears of the Prophets.”  Take care until then and Happy Valentine’s Day!
