This weekend on the podcast, I’m back with a quick look at all four “Terminator” films in the movie franchise. I start the show off with some talk about the recent film (and book) called “The Hunger Games.” I really enjoyed both and talk about some of what I thought about this cool new movie. Then I pass on some Trek news and information. There is a new Trek fan film out called “The Child” from the “Star Trek: Phase II” guys. It’s pretty cool to watch and great for all of us classic Trek fans. I also talk about a proposed Vegas attraction that never happened where they were going to be a full scale replica of the Enterprise – in downtown Vegas! See the Trek news section for more on this. Then it’s on to our main topic for this week.
The Terminator films are some of the classics in Sci-Fi cinema (especially the first two movies). I cover some background, casting, plot details and other things related to all four of the films. I focus mainly on the first two movies and it’s interesting to learn how some things came to be in the franchise. Keep in mind that these movies really made and began the huge careers of both Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron. Linda Hamilton also benefited from the movies and even was married to James Cameron for a short time. It was fun to look back on this cool franchise and maybe someday we will get another film (maybe even with Arnold back again).
I wrap up the podcast with a look at my new stunt Malcolm Reynolds pistol as seen on “Firefly.” This is made by QMx and it’s a nice little piece that didn’t cost a huge amount too. I talk about it’s construction and what I think about my latest prop addition. You can still order one for yourself right HERE too.
That’s all for this week. Tune in next time when guest hosts Al & Bryan will be covering the “Aliens” film for all of you. Take care and “I’ll be back” soon.
