This week I’m back in the center seat to look at this cool sixth season Voyager episode called, “Blink of an Eye.” I start out the podcast talking about some recent TV shows I have been watching such as “Revolution”, “Arrow”, and “Last Resort.” I’m enjoying some of these new series as well as enjoying old returning favorites like “Fringe” and “Grimm.” I also talk about some recent films I have seen too and what I’m looking forward to coming out soon. I also talk about the next Trek film and the tiny, 3 frames of footage JJ Abrams showed about a week ago which must be the shortest teaser anyone has ever seen for an upcoming big movie. Maybe before the holiday movie season is over we will get a real trailer to enjoy. Then it’s on to the Trek episode for this week.
This episode of Voyager is enjoyable. It involves a planet with a very fast rate of rotation which somehow makes the civilization move through time at a very fast rate. Voyager is only there for a short time of a few days, but thousands of years pass on the planet below as the people there develop to the point of sending out ships to investigate Voyager. This is a cool episode and one I enjoyed watching once again for the podcast. The Doctor has a pretty big part in this one and the episode reminds me of a couple previous Trek episodes such as: “Wink of an Eye” (TOS) and “The Inner Light” (TNG). Hope you enjoy my commentary for this one.
That about wraps up this week’s podcast. Next week, Jedi Jeff will be here with a look at the “Battle of the Planets” TV series. I will be back in two weeks for a special Halloween episode with a look at “An American Werewolf in London.” Take care and enjoy your week ahead.
