This week on the podcast it’s a classic style show. I look at the 4th season Enterprise episode called “Affliction.” I first start the show with a brief, spoiler-free review and some comments on the excellent new film, “Gravity.” I just saw this yesterday and it was amazing. We have a new music segment this week from Vartok that is a lot of fun – as always (thanks Vartok). Then I talk about some recent “Star Wars” news related to the 6th season of “Clone Wars” coming in 2014! I also talk a little Trek and do a little round up on what I’m watching on genre TV so far this season. Lots of great stuff to see right now and it’s a wonderful time to be a geek!
This episode of Enterprise that I cover this week attempts to try to explain the long unexplained Klingon forehead ridges thing. This is actually a two-part episode, this being the first part of the story. Doctor Phlox is kidnapped by the Klingons and he is forced to try to help them with a viral plague sweeping their planets due to the genetic tampering they had been working on. Meanwhile, the Enterprise sets off to fin Phlox and do what it takes to get him back. It’s a cool episode and I enjoyed doing some commentary as I watched it again. I will try to cover the next part in the next month or two on the podcast.
That wraps up the show for this week. Tune in next week when Mark will be guest hosting and will cover the classic SF film, “The Thing from Another World.” Take care until then and enjoy your week ahead.
