This week it’s back to a classic style show with a look at a DS9 episode and recent geek news. First up, I comment about the latest talk going on related to both “Star Wars” and Trek. It looks like two new, young writers have joined in to script the next Trek film (hopefully to come out in 2016 for the 50th anniversary of Trek). I think we are all hoping for a completely original story this time out – and who knows, maybe a new TV series at some point too. Of course, Episode 7 for SW is moving along and they are constructing a full-size, complete Millennium Falcon vessel for this film (can’t wait to see that). Casting continues to roll on for this film which should start full production in a few months. On TV, I’m really enjoying the series “Arrow” and the new series, “Almost Human.” Two very good shows and you should give them a try if you haven’t yet. Then on move on to the Trek episode.
The fifth season DS9 episode, “By Inferno’s Light” is covered this time, with a full commentary as I watch it with you. This is actually the second part of a two-part tale that involves the war with the Dominion and some captured crew off DS9. Garak gets to shine in this episode and Worf has some good stuff to do too. The later seasons of DS9 were really great and this is a solid episode to cover and fun to watch again. That pretty much wrapped up the cast for this time out. Next week, Chris & Meds will be here with a look at the 50th Anniversary special episode of “Doctor Who” for all of you to enjoy.
