This week on the podcast I look at a great episode of Voyager called “Infinite Regress” and talk about the usual geeky topics. First up, I talk about some movies and play some TV spots to both the upcoming “Robocop” film and also from “The Lego Movie.” Looking forward to seeing both of those. Next up I run down what I’m enjoying on TV lately and also comment about all the great stuff on the air these days. Make sure to check out the latest Trek fan film, “Lolani” HERE too. Then I move on to the Voyager episode and commentary for this podcast.
This Voyager episode takes place in season five of the series and the main focus is on 7 of 9 (played expertly by Jeri Ryan) in this episode. Our favorite former Borg drone comes down with a multiple personality disorder as previous assimilated species start to take control of her mind and body. Turns out it is due to an alien virus meant to attack the Borg and Seven is infected by this same problem. I like this one a lot and most of that is from watching actress Jeri Ryan portray so many different characters that are so different from her normal role on the show. Really a great, fun, and dramatic episode and I enjoyed watching it again while commenting along with the show.
