Podcast # 576 – “Soylent Green” – 1602.21

This week, my friend Mark is back with another classic SF film and a personal favorite of mine, “Soylent Green.”  This is a great film and Mark does another fantastic job covering it on the podcast.  Now some words from the man himself about his most recent guest podcast.

Hello Everybody!

This is Mark Daniels from the Great Pacific Northwest and I’m your guest host this weekend.  Today I’m going to look at the final movie in the Charlton Heston science fiction trilogy  (The other two movies were Planet of the Apes and The Omega Man).  That’s right!  I’m going to take a look at Soylent Green from 1973.  It stars Charlton Heston, Leigh Taylor-Young and Edward G. Robinson, in his final role.  Soylent Green is one of the quintessential science fiction movies of the 1970s.  It’s a bummer, but it’s a great movie.  I hope everyone enjoys it.  Just remember that Tuesday is Soylent Green Day.

Everyone have a great work week!

This is M-5 signing off…
Big thanks again to Mark for covering another classic film.  I’ll be back next weekend with a look at the DS9 episode, “Meridian.”  Until then, take care and enjoy your week.
