This week I’m back with a classic style show featuring a TNG episode. First, I talk about the great new “Wonder Woman” movie and how much I enjoyed it. Really good and I hope a sign of good things to come from DC comic movies. I also have a music moment from Vartok featuring some Wonder Woman music from the film. Then I talk a little about the strange TV I’m watching at the moment and what else I’ve been enjoying. Then it’s on to the TNG episode.
The season 5 episode from TNG called “Violations” is not the greatest Trek episode, but I think it’s an interesting one. This is the episode involving the telepathic aliens who come aboard the Enterprise and one of them is a very bad person. He basically can go into a person’s mind and alter their memories to point and he violates several of the crew – especially Troi. Eventually Picard and company get to the bottom of things. This episode has a strong message about rape – but in this case it’s a mental violation. Strong stuff, but handled well on TNG.
