The “Starship Troopers” franchise has grown considerably since the release of Robert Heinlein’s Starship Soldier in October and November 1959 in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction as a two-part serial titled Starship Soldier. As of 2024 there are 3 live action films, 2 CGI animated films, 2 animated TV series, 6 video games, a board game, a pinball machine, and a 3-issue comic book. Sci-fi fan boys, fan girls, and fan aliens can enjoy Johnny Rico and the Military Infantry roughnecks for hours on end.
