This week I talk about season one of “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.” First I do my usual rundown of recent TV and movies I’ve been watching (beyond SFA) and I also give out my 2026 Oscar predictions which is happening later on tonight. I’ve seen a good number of the nominated films this year. Then on to the main topic.
Overall I liked season one of SFA. There were some bumps and a few things that made me go, hmm, but overall it was a fun 10 episodes. I like the characters and cast a lot so that helps. I talk about the last two episodes of the season and give some thoughts on the current trend of some “fans” online who just seem to want to “hate” on everything. I also have a nice audio clip from Rick and Amy Moyer on their thoughts on this most recent Trek series. Big thanks to them for sending that in.
