My second most anticipated film for this coming summer is “Man of Steel.”  This is shaping up and looking to be a truly awesome telling of the Superman legend and story.  Everything I’ve seen and heard so far about this film has me very excited to see it in mid June.  Down below are some of the TV spots that have been airing for this new version of the “Man of Steel.”  Very excited to see this movie!!

I recently found a great piece of software that can make a nice, compact PDF file from a group of images.  It’s called A-PDF to Image to PDF and it’s perfect for taking a group of images (in many formats) and letting you turn them into a single PDF file.  This is very useful for websites that use a lot of images (like this one) as well as sharing a bunch of images via email with friends (rather than emailing them all the separate images on their own).  I’ve already found many uses for it and I think you will too.  Here’s a link to an example PDF I made in just a couple minutes.  So, check out this cool item HERE today.

The new SyFy series, “Defiance” starts on April 15th on the network.  This looks to be a cool series about a futuristic Earth after some type of alien invasion and war.  I like the looks and feel of what I have been seeing.  The cast looks interesting and I’ll be tuning in to check it out.  One interesting aspect of this new TV series is they are tying in the release of a new video, MMO type game that is suppose to be able to alter and impact what happens on the TV series.  We’ll see how that all works out.  Looking forward to it.  Trailer below.

The wonderful BBC fantasy series, “Doctor Who” has returned with the rest of season (or series) seven.  We now have a new companion for the Doctor, Clara Oswald (played by the lovely Jenna-Louise Coleman).  The first episode of this run aired last night called, “The Bells of St. John” and I just loved it.  It’s great to have the Doctor back on the air once again and I am very much enjoying getting to know Clara more and seeing where things go from here.  So, make sure to tune in and see what’s up with the good Doctor.  Here are a few previews below…

I’m getting pretty excited by the latest “Iron Man 3” stuff.  A cool new IMAX poster has come out (see above) as well as some great trailers.  I’m super happy that we get another Marvel film this summer, continuing the effort by Marvel comics to put out quality comic book films.  As a long time Marvel fan, I’m pleased that so many people are getting to see what I have known for a very long time – comic book heroes are cool!  So check out this poster and latest trailer below.

Less than a week away now from the premiere of this cool looking film from Disney called, “Oz, the Great and Powerful.”  “The Wizard of Oz” is one of my all-time favorite films and this new movie looks to be a great deal of fun too.  I love how they have kept the black and white to color effect for the setting when the film is in Kansas and then shifts to Oz.  This looks to be an amazing looking production and I’m really looking forward to seeing it in theaters next weekend!

A brand new “Star Wars” comic book series started about a month ago set in the time right after the first movie.  This comic series from Dark Horse picks up after the first Deathstar is destroyed and features all the original trilogy characters that we all love.  This might be the last big blast of SW comics from Dark Horse since the license will be moving to Marvel in a year or so since Disney now owns both “Star Wars” and Marvel comics.  Two issues are out so far.  Make sure to pick yours up at your local comic shop or maybe online if they are sold out.

The excellent AMC tv series, “The Walking Dead” returns on February 10th to air the second half of season three.  We were left with a big cliff-hanger when the series took a short break but now it’s back with all new and exciting episodes.  I’ve grown to really love this series and the human elements involved in the story (I love the comic series too).  This show is amazing each and every week.  Get caught up if you haven’t watched it yet because you are missing out on something wonderful.  Here’s a little trailer for the new episodes.  Can’t wait!
